Let’s be honest: I bought the Eve Flare because I wanted to feel like a wizard, summoning mood lighting with my phone. Turns out, this glowing orb delivers-minus the wand, plus a lot of “ooh” and “ahh” from guests.Setup was so easy, I almost missed the thrill of reading a 40-page manual. It’s Apple HomeKit-enabled, so if you’re in the iPhone club, you’re golden-just tap, name it, and start bossing it around with Siri. Android users, sorry, you’ll have to settle for the basic on/off button and a few color presets. (It’s like being invited to the party but not allowed near the snacks.)Is it pricey? A bit. Is it worth it? If you want a portable, stylish, and privacy-focused smart light that plays nice with Apple, absolutely. Just don’t expect it to double as a disco ball for your next rave-unless your rave is very, very chill.In short: the Eve Flare is the kind of gadget that makes you smile every time you use it. And if you ever get bored, you can always pretend it’s a crystal ball and predict that your lighting game just got a major upgrade.

Such a fun light piece, especially in a home office. I like that I can adjust the brightness and color of the light. And it connects right in with HomeKit and my other smart home tech. I haven't had any issues with it and no regrets purchasing. It's a fun piece in the office!

Have it working w/ HomeKit and is flawless. Works with Siri perfectly and using its scenes to setup times works perfectly.

I recommend never buying anything from Eve Systems on Amazon. I bought this product and it was awesome. Then after a few months it failed. After chasing Eve Systems via email (they were not very prompt responders), they admitted the device had failed under warranthey pointed me back to Amazon, to some obscure warranty questions email address. Never got a reply from that. Called Amazon customer service, to get quoted 30 return policies and such, of which I’m well aware, which is why I contacted the manufacturer in the first place. They gave me some vague reference to their web store, implying they can service this better if I don’t buy through Amazon. This is still not resolved. I’m not sure which, if either, side is going to stand up and provide some customer service. If it was a $20 item I would have written if off to a lesson learned.

Despite promising last year that Matter support would be added, the light does not have a Matter QR code and cannot be added to any smart home system other than HomeKit. It's July 2023 and there is still no word on when Eve Home will add Android or other Matter hub support. The light is bright. I had trouble initially turning it on but found that pressing and holding power to twenty seconds "reset" the light and it now turns on. I found this through trial and error as there was no useful troubleshooting support.

I am all-in with HomeKit / THREAD devices. If you don't know what HomeKit means, then this product is likely not for you!This integrated easily with my Thread network and works perfectly on my Patio in Scottsdale, AZ!The ambient light it provides is PERFECT for setting the mood and the control from my phone and EVE app has been flawless. I have set this up to turn on at sunset for 2 hours @ 50% and set it to a warm color and it's perfect entertaining, and the fact it's battery powered gives it even more utility. It's EXACTLY what I wanted and will definitely be purchasing another for a different application. I think it's worth every penny
