Used already registered
It was already register so unable to update or change vehicle type. Emailed support team requesting move serial number over. Within 24 hours they emailed me back letting me know they moved registration over. Updating and changing from bmw to Volvo was easy.

Great vendor for this unit-Quick Ship Auto Parts
Bought this unit from Quick Ship Auto Parts about a year ago and had trouble updating to include Porsche SW. Somehow the SD card became corrupted and customer service from Foxwell is difficult. I contacted the vendor and he had me on the phone for about 15 minutes and got the unit functional and updated to include the Porsche SW. So glad I bought this from this vendor now that I know Foxwell support is difficult.

This tool saved me a lot of money!
I was having problems with chassis stabilization warnings on my 2017 2 series BMW. The car drove just fine so I figured it was a bad sensor. I decided to try my luck and, after contacting Foxwell to be sure the unit would check everything I wanted it to check, I bought it. Foxwell got back to me on one day.The tool is very easy to use, I went through the fault codes (there were several that didn't show up on the dash display) and cleared them one by one. It took several times through the faults to get them all cleared but for the price of about an hour in the BMW dealer's shop, I cleared all the faults. I also put a new battery in the car and registered it using the Foxwell NT530. The dealer charges $149 for this service that takes about 5 minutes. The bottom line is, if you like to do your own work and save some money, and you have a bit of an analytical mind you will like this tool. I just wonder how much it would have cost to have the dealer do what I did? It took me about 3 hours to clear all the faults. You do the math.

Description is misleading
Be advised that this scanner comes with the BMW compatibility but you have to register and purchase other updates to get the software for other vehicles. The updates range from $60-$100 per model. I think the description is a bit misleading and needs more detail about what is needed to get this scanner operational. Once you purchase the software, the scanner has several specialty functions.

Foxwell530
Great. Just what I needed for my bmw. I looked for awhile to find one I could upgrade w other car models as well. This is the most reasonable and I can work on my diesel. It gives me DPF, modes and readings.

A good value
I thought that I was erasing the brake maintenance warning through the dash button but I found out there was a deeper reset that this unit allowed me to accomplish. I also reset a couple of nuisance fault codes. Takes some getting used to the menus but I'm sure that I'll get used to them.

BEWARE: Questionable Security
I recently purchased this NT530 product. Spent a significant amount of time trying to access their website (foxwelltech.us) only to get "502 Bad Gateway". I attempted their old website of .com (which was http and not https as with the .us address),... only to get Chinese script and then a message in English stating new address of foxwelltech.us. Very frustrating. Only after some website searching and trial & error was I able to deduce that the new website is FOXWELLDIAG.COM. This signals to me terrible customer support and communication. Hopefully the tool works once I get it registered.Update: This seems Shady. In order to register and activate the product, they require you to download their software onto your PC. This essentially gives them backdoor access to ANYTHING on your PC. The year is 2025, not 2000. This is a Chinese company and you're giving them access to all sensitive information on your PC. If they were serious about security, they would create a secure app to be used on a smartphone (which would be highly scrutinized). I don't trust this company. A quick search shows TrustPilot gives theses guys a 1.6 out of 5.Returning immediately.

Lots of features
I love Foxwell meters. The NT530 is a great addition to your troubleshooting tools if you work on or own a BMW. For the price of more expensive meters (including Foxwell), you get an All Systems/All Maintenance Service meter for under $200 and that is a steal. The biggest complaints I have heard about this meter are for users who purchased it for use on all vehicles.
