Same brightness and quality in picture as the one that came with my projector!
The bulb on our projector popped and needed replacing. Easy to install once we looked it up on youtube. Exactly like the one that came with the projector as far as quality and brightness on the screen. Let's hope it lasts longer than a year like the old one it was replaced with

product doesnot work but great customer support...
The product stops working exactly two months after the day of purchase. which happens to be two days after the support window closed. The bulb worked fine initially and i was happy with the product. 60 days later, you turn on the projector. The bulb lights up and then immediately turns off. Not happy.-----------------------------------------------------------------Once the above review was posted, the company contacted me promptly and got my unit replaced. I have to say that the representative was very friendly and accommodating. Within a month, i had a new unit in my hand... It took that much time, only because of me being slow in responding. Great customer support.

Superb value for a replacement lamp for BenQ W1080ST projector.
This replacement lamp exceeded my expectation. The picture quality, color and brightness is at least 100% time better than even the original lamp that I had on my BenQ W1080ST projector.

Lamp stopped working after just over a month but Replacement sent
I purchased the product about a month back. It worked fine for a month but today it stopped turning on. The lamp seems to be dead. The return window was closed. But CTLAMP agreed to send me another replacement. Great CX.

Working perfectly so far....
The OEM lamp in my Benq HT1075 exploded around hour 3250 in eco mode (kind of disappointing...). Decided to take a chance on one of these inexpensive replacements despite the poor reviews.Prior to switching the lamps, I watched some youtube videos of some other cases where lamps had exploded, sending broken glass around the projector and into some of the fans causing them to malfunction. Because of that, I vacuumed out as much of the debris as I could from within the lamp area after removing the old one using some little micro vacuum attachments included with my Shark Rocket vac. It picked up quite a few piece of glass, including several that had made their way into the blower fan port that might have caused problems had I powered back up without cleaning.Lamp replacement itself was a breeze. The replacement matched up well with the OEM lamp and went in easy. I used the gloves provided in the package before handling the lamp. I've only got about 4 hours on the new lamp, but everything seems to be working hunky dory so far. I'll update this review if there are any problems, but 5 stars for now!

10mos/1000+hrs in, and still going strong!
10mos and 1000+hrs in, and still going strong! I didnt notice a difference in color or sharpness from the OE. Installed easily (even while fixed to the ceiling!).Seems reviews are mixed so its possible Im one of the luckier ones, but worth a shot if youre on the fence. Also, most people that have good experiences aren’t likely leaving reviews and just enjoying it. Had a friend ask about my experience so i looked it up for the link. Worst case you return and spend significantly more on the Benq (the 6mos warranty this comes with is comforting).

Seems like the black
Came on for about 2 minutes... started flickering... then the projector turned off. I uninstalled the bulb and re-installed it.. same behavior. Seems like the black, molex power connector was sort of loose. I returned it and got a similar bulb ( exact same design ) from a different source. The black molex power socket seemed a little more stable but not 100% stable.. anyway the new bulb unit works fine.. 20 hours of use so far. These $40 bulbs are just hit and miss. Good Luck.

Amazing, while it lasts...
I've gone through two of these now in just a couple of months. Luckily, I had time to return the first one. Wasn't so lucky the second time. Both swapped in easy enough and produced beautiful, bright pictures. Unfortunately, neither lasted more than a month or so before the dreaded red-light-of-doom appeared on my W1070.If you just need a quick fix or don't run your projector for long at a time, this may work for you. But, if you're looking for a workhorse bulb that will produce many hours of glorious projection, look elsewhere. Sometimes you've just got to pony up for OEM as you get what you pay for.
