Cute but our cats did not care for.

The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my cat, after setting it down in the kitchen floor it took off fast! I wasn't expecting it to be so quick but She loved it and was chasing it around, if it flips on its side it will vibrate until it's upright again. Only issue I had was it kept going under things and I'd have to save it. So I took a old toy that held a plastic ball to bat around, took the ball out and added the bug. It works perfectly, even in the tunnel if she flips it over it will self correct for non stop fun. Not sure how long the battery last for since I haven't had them long but you can open the bottom of them and replace the batteries if need be.

My cat gets bored with his cat toys, so decided to try this Hexbug. Although highly entertaining for our cat because it triggers his hunting senses, a couple drawbacks to this toy include the following: (i) they make a lot of noise - not only when they are travelling across the floor, but especially when they fall over and try to right themselves, which my cat finds annoying and detracts from the huntingt experience; (ii) they need to be run on non-carpeted floors; (iii) because of their erratic movements (when they bump into something they change direction), they can and do end up under furniture like bookcases, refrigerators, etc, where it can be very challenging to get them back out and they won't shut off by themselves....so you could end up with one stuck under furniture and have to listen to it until the battery finally dies or you move the furniture to gain access. So for my cat, he will play with them as long as I am an active participant and keep an eye on not losing them.

My most favorite Center for my classroom is these hexbugs with magnetiles on our light table. They are so silly as they bumble around and bump into the magnetiles. My students love the hexbugs!

My preschool children loved these bugs! We used them on our light table. The kids built mazes out of magnetic tiles and let the bugs race through the mazes. This activity was a huge hit and they asked for them for several weeks - great for little ones attention spans! I will be ordering more!

These are so creative and work so well! My kittens love to chase them around, stalk them and attack them! They really are such a unique design and somehow manage to always turn themselves back over if they flip over or if I’ve off my kittens turns them over. They keep them entertained for a good while each time I bring them out!

As a cat toy, these are just ok. They flip over frequently and make a ton of noise banging against the floor. When the cats actually do go after one (they usually just watch, disinterested), they sniff it and gag - there must be something in the electronic components that smells awful to them! I think they're a cool idea, but would probably be better appreciated by a kid than a cat.

We had a few kids play with these and they’re great! Fun to watch and try to trap. My sensory loving son enjoyed the vibrations while he held them. They can get a little loud if you’re using a lot, but it’s not too bad.
