Samsung Q990C Soundbar Speaker (2023) - 22 Speaker Home System With Wireless Dolby Atmos Rear Speakers And Subwoofer, Alexa Built In, Smart Surround Sound, Bluetooth, WiFi & Airplay

I bought the Samsung Q990C after much investigation of this and other systems. It's highly praised in many written and video reviews. Delivered early, (thanks to IT Ltd and DPD) it arrived in a very big, heavy, box with the usual polystyrene packing keeping everything safe. The feel of each item is that of solid good quality. Set-up could not have been easier, but I would have liked longer power-cables on the rear speakers. Out of the box the sound while watching TV was wonderful, but switching to "Adaptive Mode" took me by surprise as the whole thing came to life. Movies are immersive and the dialog is crystal clear. As for music, I had a huge smile on my face as I listened to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon CD. I was lucky to get this system for under £900 and I am delighted with the quality and value.

I am yet to read or watch a review that does not praise this soundbar. I looked for a long time and did not know what to buy. Decided on this soundbar as it is a complete package and works out a lot cheaper than other brands which I was leaning more towards. I have never owned a Samsung product before other than a phone or tablet. I am only a fan of Sony.Well move over everything else because this is a Beast.It is very versatile with the Samsung app which really does work very easily to help you fine tune. I am not sure if others offer this option?One of the nicest things that this system does so well is being able to have the volume down very low and still be able to hear everything. But the best thing it does is give amazing sound. It is just awesome and when the sub goes BOOM!! you know about it. I struggle to see how they do this for the money. A fantastic addition for any movie lover.

I'm not an audiophile, but the sound that comes from this soundbar is amazing for it's size.It replaced a LG Soundbar that I got 'free' when buying my LG OLED which was apparently worth "£999" - I don't believe it!In comparison the bar unit is almost twice if not three times heavier - presumably due to the large number of speakers housed within it. The sub is a similar size. What makes the real difference is that you get rear speakers - "Wireless" (still with a power cord).I don't believe you can ever get the same sound without having real rear speakers - and these are all Atmos enabled too. The difference is night and day compared to the LG system.If I wanted to give one criticism it would be that the bass could be a bit punchier - with it turned up to Max it's still not just 'enough' sometimes.Without spending significantly more on a complete receiver system with an array of separate speakers, I don't think you can do much better than this sound bar.One note: I was a bit anxious buying this soundbar - as my Dad has one of it's predecessors. This bar has what I would consider to be a bug - and it constantly turns off to 'save energy' but doesn't turn back on again when the sound source is restored. There is also no-way to disable this 'feature'. This results in one of the worst user experiences ever. I am happy to report that I have had no such issues with this Soundbar.

Got this to go with my Samsung 65in 8k tv. Easy to setup I used YouTube to get more info as the Samsung instructions are basic the speakers all linked up by WiFi very easy I also downloaded the Samsung app so you can alter the sound settings more easily as for the sound wow this system is amazing the 11.1.4 speakers give out a clear sound all around the room and it’s at a great price now if you’re looking for a sound bar this is up there with the best

This is an amazing product!some things I noticed:* super heavy and massive box (well protected)* feels very robust, and again, heavy. I am scared of fitting it to the wall (plasterboard)* everything connects automatically as soon as you plug it in, and recognises the TV eARC without issues* not straightforward how to set up the app to manage settings, but once done, is super easy (no firmware updates popped up yet)* I love that is syncing with alexa so easily too* tried with Shogun from Disney+ and Rings of Power from prime, and I was really pleased, really!* not sure how to use the remote control beyond the volume adjustments (I use TV remote for that too)
