Quick read but covers so much!!
Olive is torn on how she feels now her dad is back, but spending the week with him sure opens up a lot of discussion, feelings and social media.I think this is a timely read for any kid who has parents who are divorced or separated. I also enjoyed the social media tips for the tweens/teens on social media.

Includes internet safety tips
A quick read that might be the end of this series by Miller. To the adult reader I could see how Olive's reaction to her Dad and dependency on her phone/social media would read as immature, but I actually think Miller captured the essence of egocentric middle schoolers well. No, Olive can't reason through her feelings about her Dad, which really comes down to fear. And of course Olive can't see the deceptive nature of the highlight reel of social media. Olive is a great character but Miller does a good job depicting the angst of this season of life.As always the illustrations are great -- I especially liked the Com Convention. Definitely a wildly nerdy part of Olive's personality and I am here for the nerdy.I enjoyed the story, but I thought Miller's inclusion of internet safety tips was even more important. Kids (and maybe adults too) need to see those in multiple formats.I'm not sure if there is much story left for Miller to tell, but I've really enjoyed this series of graphic novels. They've been a bit uneven and I liked some more than others. I've been concerned about how Miller portrays female characters along the way (Nat!!), but overall I think there is more good than bad in these six books. Happy to add them to my classroom shelves.

This book was great!
I liked this book! It wasn't better than the other Kayla Miller books I've read but it was still very good! I loved how it talked about her being sad that she wasn't with her friends all the time but realizing she can't be everywhere and be happy where she's at.
