Good value for money
This metal detector is a good package deal . I had a problem with the size of the batteries supplied fitting in the battery compartment to large. So had to purchase a different make that was smaller in size. I think I’m not the only one that’s going to have this problem

X-Terra Pro Think it could be addictive
Bought it as a gift for my wife. I was recommended to get the X-terra pro as a first detector by a friend. As we are total novices. After reading up, and watching lots of videos.Tried it in Ernest playing around with the settings, after a couple of hours on a beach result 1 rusty nail.2nd attempt a couple of days later after 30mins detecting 10cm under the grass 1x 50pence coin in my garden. It will take a bit of experimenting and tweaking settings. It does work and it was accurate on depth of the 50p coin.Roll on the better weather and ready to go.lots of beaches nearby to try, I think it could be quite addictive, and will be getting exercise and lots of fresh air.

Minelab Voyager
Coil is ok ish for tge money but the quality of stem etc is awful. I am not very tall but the stem still did not extend enough and then it just decided to break from fatigue after just a couple of outings. The battery compartment is terrible also and too tight which make lid pop off all the time. It basically feels like like a kids toy. I think Minelab are trying to keep up with the Chinese poor quality detectors with this machine but it’s not giving Minelab a good name as it’s no better than a Chinese machine . If you are looking for a very good quality detector with similar budget - go for the Nocta X Pro which is only £49 more but the quality and standard is amazing and stands side by side with far more expensive detectors and always detects accurately.

Easy to use and works well
First time metal detector here. Really impressed and easy to use. Within 10 minutes I found an old coin under my lawn. Would recommend. Can't wait to visit the beach to find treasure 😄

Hit or miss.
I’ll say straight up- you get what you paid for.Positives:It’s nice and light, and as someone who’s never used a metal detector before, it’s simple to use compared to others you can get. The screen is nice and big so you can see everything on there. Easy to put together/set up.Negatives:To start with if you’re someone who’s never gone metal detecting- I actually wouldn’t recommend this. Yes, there is the argument of if you should just go straight to an expensive, quality metal detector or start simple. I’d say go better. I very quickly became obsessed with this hobby but realising that this detector just isn’t that good made me also quickly realise I’ll just go better and stick with that. Trust me if you get stuck in- you’ll be buying a better one within a few weeks. So the problems? It’s the constant false signals. And for the life of me, I can’t figure out what it is except putting fault to the machine. Even when swinging slowly on a lower sensitivity there always seems to be the constant frustrating issue with false signals. And I’m aware it happens with all detectors but this is constant no matter where I am and I’ve tried a range of places. As for finds, it’ll get you coins and buttons- old rusty parts nobody wants to dig up. And I must say the depth is really good! So as I say- hit or miss. You do get what you paid for though, and I’m not saying spend silly amount on so and so but I’ve just bought Noktas legend because I’ve heard ALOT of good things about it.If you’re buying for maybe a child or someone who just wants to have a go- I would recommend.

Voyager
Well.. I bought the voyager as I'm looking at starting up detecting, set it up ASAP, decent materials here, I was worrying that it'd be to short for me, I'm 6 ft 3 and it's Absolutly fine at full.. The display is great and I like the back light, fairly good detector I'd say for the price I paid 119 pounds.. Looking forward to getting some free time to head out somewhere for a full day, I definetly recommend, don't be put off by YouTube reviews that say it's no good if your 5 ft 9, or above.. It's Absolutly fine.. Happy hunting
