Great rowing machine for starting out
I have just started using this great little rower, the delivery was fast and coming 80% assembled it was very easy to set up following instructions (approx 30 mins max) The seat and handle grips are very comfortable, the water resistance action is smooth and the sound of the water swishing as you row is nicer than the air resistance rowers at the gym. The seat glide is smooth, hand rail is good but gets uncomfortable when hands start sweating after about 10 mins. The foot straps are really good, strong velcro with easy put on and take off d-rings, you do need to wear trainers though as tried bare feet and heels slip out of the foot holds. The monitor is very basic and could do with more features. I am trying the free 14 day trial on the Kinomap Ap, have done 3 sessions and the link to phone is good, links well with rower, not sure how accurate readings are but definitely more motivating through the ap than just using the rower and monitor and will be even better via i-pad or smart tv. If using on laminate floor, you will need mats under front and back stand as rower started moving backwards and forwards during rowing session, especially when increasing effort. I full the water tank to max level (about 6 litres) I used a jug and funnel as was much quicker than pump suppliedcomes with 3 water purifying tablets (one every 2 months) Overall for the price it is a decent, sturdy machine. May need more resistance if more competitive and would recommend using an ap to keep you motivated. May send another review in a few moths with progress report.

Excellent Value and Quality
For the price paid £270 this is a very high quality built machine and I don’t hesitate to highly recommend. I’ve only had it a week so longevity isn’t something I can comment on but build quality feels very good (easily as good as a Proform £600 machine). The seat movement along the bar is silent and smooth. Easy construction took less than 10 mins. Connects to Kinomap app and HR strap to enable better data. When purchasing I noticed the negative reviews focused on two issues. The footholds and the lack of resistance. This model now appears to ship with the improved foot holds as they were standard on mine so hopefully that issue is alleviated. My only comment is they don’t rotate on their axle (fixed in place) and I find a little bit of discomfort comes into play around 7-8 mins into my exercise. The second issue I saw raised is one I struggle to understand. I’m 85kg medium build 6 foot tall male who’s very active. I found 10 mins on the rowing machine gave a decent cardio and muscle workout. Resting HR of 45 easily moved up to 160bpm during that 10 mins averaging 2m30s per 500m. I have it set to its highest resistance. The water sound is very quiet and you can watch TV etc while rowing without disruption. Overall an excellent machine at an excellent price.

Good rowing machine for beginners
I bought this as I wasn't sure how much I would use it and didn't want to invest in a C2. I had tried a few rowing machines at the gym and thought it would be a great low impact cardio for at home. The machine is super easy to setup, took me less than 15 min. It seems sturdy enough and I have been using it 5 days a week for a month. It's also very quiet, I have been working out at 5am and no one can hear a thing. The monitor is not great, but this doesn't bother me as I just connect it to an app (using Fiit). It connects to both my watch (Samsung) and phone (Google Pixel) without any issues.I think if you were to row without any app, workout or any indication, you would think the machine is not strong enough or is not great. If you are a beginner in rowing like me, look for an app where you can learn the techniques so you don't injure yourself.I do endurance, speed or metcon workouts for 45 min and I can tell you my heart rate goes up, my kcal are at a good number and I end up sweating lots. The resistance is decent and I filled it up to the max level. Probably in a year or so, I might decide to upgrade but for now, it works great. For context, I'm 34F, 5'6'' and workout 5 days a week with strength training and cardio.

Good value and well-made
Happy with this machine so far. I always hated rowing machines at the gym, but appreciated the cardio workout they gave, so in middle age we wanted something to get us fitter and chose this one largely based on price and reviews. Thanks to the water resistance, the action is very smooth and the machine isn't too noisy. The seat is initially a little uncomfortable, but after a few days it's fine. Overall it's a pretty solid piece of kit. It's built to a price, so the console is a dim, old-style LCD but it's fine for checking times, distances and calories. I've actually enjoyed using the rowing machine for the first time in my life, and I can feel the benefits already. The water resistance seemed fine for us - we've started at level 3 and that's a comfortable, easy row that gets us out of breath on a long session. We'll probably up the resistance as time goes on. For the price, this seems like a very good buy.

Good, affordable rowing machine
I've been using this for a few months now, and it's going great. It's sturdy and well built, good for the price. It was easy to build, and the resistance seems fine to me.The kinomap app is okay, but not the best. It's basically just an overlay over YouTube videos, so i ended up paying for a different app more dedicated to rowing. The machine connects to the app fine via Bluetooth, even though the app says it's not a fully supported brand, i haven't had a problemYou will definitely need to buy a mat if you have wood floors. The rowing machine was sliding back and forth like crazy when I rowed faster, but i bought a £10 yoga mat to go under it and it fixed the issue perfectly.I did also buy a seat cushion after a month or so, as the machine's seat can start to hurt after 30 minutes or so. But I'm not sure these accessories are a negative, as I imagine they're issues I'd face with any machineOverall, very happy with it.
