Is there a warranty with this cup? I purchased this 13 months ago and the base now bulges when hot liquid is added so not stable.

Not that I remember. I find it must be kept upright or it will leak and does not keep hot for as long as I thought it would. However, it was a gift, so wasn't able to do much about it.

Is the drinking hole big enough to put a straw in?

Yes you can fit a straw into the hole at the top. I can fit a silicone straw in easily which is larger than paper or plastic straws. The oval hole is approximately 1cm at the largest part.
