1500 ft models is what people should aim for in small/mid size apartments as their base
If you're someone that is looking to get a dehumidifier for a small space. I would say that you should start with these kind of models and work your way upwards. The most important thing about dehumidifiers is not the advertised amount of space it can work with, but how much water can it actually pull out of the environment. When you get into units that are advertised to work for a much smaller space, the problem that you will run into is that the unit is simply not capable of adding any significant difference of moisture to your home, even if the space is miles below what the advertised amount of space they cover is.Another unit that I have has the capability to pull around 24oz of water out of the air in a 24 hour timezone, which this unit can pull 422 oz. This unit is 40 dollars more than that other unit. Furthermore, for 10 dollars more, you can get a unit that pulls 30 pints out of the air with a 2000 ft model, with some caviats that you should consider. At least from using this unit for the past couple of weeks, I like the fact that this unit is really easy to manuver around and pick up. The wheels on the bottom make it easy to be able to pull around wherever you want it to go, and it's pretty light in comparison to some of the other units on the market. The dryer mode for clothes also works pretty well as long as the clothes are not soaking wet, it will dry out the clothes in the time that it gives out. You have to make sure though to place the clothes into a small space, or it'll take longer to dry as it's in a much wider space. It will make the room warmer when using the drying mode. I haven't noticed this in the other modes, but I'd assume this to be true for those modes as well since the unit is pulling moisture out of the air while also using a small amount of heat when it's in operation. The only draw back is the storage capacity of the internal unit if you don't use a draining hose. It holds around 3 Gallons, which sounds like a lot, but you'll be emptying this multiple times a day if you're using this in a space with a lot of moisture. Now the unit does not recommend using the draining hose into any containers, but the reason why is because if you keep the bucket on the same level as the unit, it won't drain into the bucket because the water needs to fall through gravity. I have a 5 gallon container that I have around for my rowing machine to fill it up every now and again, and what I've done is place the container on a level below where the humidifier is located. You want to make sure however you set up the washer that the hose is able to naturally let the water fall into your bucket, or it'll just default to using the internal bucket instead.Overall, I'd say for the price to performance this is a great unit. If you have good airflow in the room it will get your humidity down to 45%, but without any good airflow it'll be harder for it to drop to those levels, as I've only gotten down to a bit below 50% otherwise with a poorly ventilated apartment. This is also a fantastic unit to save a bit of money to help dry your clothes in an enclosed space.

This machine is fantastic, and it truly works well.
The media could not be loaded. This is the best product you can buy! I have had it for two years now, and it works perfectly. It is easy to handle and comes with a very good container that collects all the water, which has been a huge help with the humidity in my house. My home tends to be humid due to the many trees around me, but this machine significantly alleviates the issue. I highly recommend it! The price is absolutely worth it. After nearly two years of use, I have no complaints, which says a lot.

So far... not so good at all a
The media could not be loaded. CONS- Unit is itsy bitsy. 1500sq feet is an outright lie. If you fall for this lie you deserve this product. You're looking at 300 Sq feet MAX this thing is made for maybe a bathroom or closet. Don't be fooled. Please. Believe me. Secondly it didn't read humidity accurately so how can it work? It's been jumping from 70 to 73 back to 70 back to 73 for hours when I know the humidity is >80%. It hasn't dropped a smidge with this running all day just flashes 2 random numbers repeatedly. I can hear the compressor kicking in but it ain't doing squat.. its doing the least amount of work possible.PROS- it's quiet... but its too quiet. You'd expect this thing to make noise. It's whisper quiet. AND it has collected some water in 14 hours. Maybe 1 cup of water but nowhere near the supposed 22 liters a day. I'm running this thing at 78 degrees with 85% humidity and I'm getting 1/100th of the stated rate. 1/100th!!!!!!! If I'm getting a cup a day, you need 92 cups to equal 22 liters. That's sad. The only people benefiting from this garbage product are people who don't actually need it. They put it in a room with low humidity and bam, they think this thing lowered it. It didn't. It couldn't. It won't. 15 hours and it went from 70% to 73%to 70% 6000 times. I hate this product. I'm returning this product. I'm not getting a replacement product from the manufacturer because we all know that will take 7 weeks and headaches. PLEASE take my advice. I'm doing you a solid here. This isn't 1500 sq feet or 22 pints!!!. It's 150 - 300 sq feet and 1 pint. Theres 7000 other models on Amazon that do 100 times better for the same price. This isn't the one. Keep looking. Pay it forward. Take care. I love you.

This humidifier worked great, but it died after 2 years. Still a great investment.

Very good system
It's quiet and doesn't heat up. Does a pretty good jobI compare it to the ecobee thermostat and it's usually about the same.
