First time I've made it past the first round
I ordered this book before my Emirates open day in Oxford on the 18th October. I had planned to attend the one in Belfast on the 1st of November, but was so psyched up after reading this book that I couldn't wait.I am not new to Emirates or their open days because I have been to 5 open days previously but never made it passed the first round. I never really prepared for any of them because I didn't think it was necessary and just really didn't have the time. After 5 failures, I decided this would be my final attempt. I started reading some online posts and then someone on cabincrew.com recommended this book to me.I wasn't sure about spending such a big amount of money on a book but because I had already wasted several hundreds of pounds attending the previous open days I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did because I went to the open day and made it all the way to the final interview. I am now hoping for the golden call to come and am so happy.Whatever happens from here, whether I end up getting the job or not, I already feel successful because of the amazing difference in my results.UPDATE: I got the golden call this morning and I'm so ecstatic. My dream is finally coming true.

Straight forward, and full of strategies.
This book really surprised me in the volume of information that's included. It starts out a little scary, telling you about the inside working of cabin crew recruitment, but it is backed by strategy after strategy for how to navigate your way successfully through the minefield. I love the straight forward and no B.S approach, but also how very thorough the book is. Whatever challenge you have with the recruitment process, there's a section and strategy for dealing with it. I'm so pleased to have purchased this book and can't recommend it highly enough. The only downside and the reason I give it 4 stars is that it's a large book. Not something i can fit into my dinky handbag.

Jam packed with tips and advice, but quite long
Unbelievable book, it's jam packed with tips and advice to help you get the job and really nice layout so it's easy to read. The only downside is the sheer size of it, it's quite lengthy so it's not a book you can read in one evening, but having said that it is laid out in a dip in and dip out manner where you can jump to the section of most relevance to you, so I guess it's no biggie, but it does lose a star for that. Overall I did get my monies worth, and the guidance is insane. I love it

A fantastic handbook, essential for anyone looking to become part of the airline industry
It’s amazing how competitive it is to become a member of an airline’s cabin crew. The book mentions that the success rate is around 1 – 2% and that one airline had 100,000 applicants for just 1,000 jobs! With statistics like that against you, you should get all the help you can! With so many applicants, the airlines stoop to some very questionable practices to make sure they are hiring the right person. Their techniques vary from spies amongst the applicants to silent treatment during interviews. My personal favourite was that in order to make sure the applicants were prepared, they handed out green and red pens to people that hadn’t bought one – anyone’s application was written in these colours was immediately rejected.Whilst the above is fascinating and definitely important to be aware of, for me the most important part of the book is in the interview technique. This includes everything from telephone interviews to the dreaded group interviews and discussions. This book gives you a huge amount of insight into what the airlines are looking for but also strategies to manage yourself throughout the process. In such a competitive industry, you really need to get as much help as you can. Caitlyn Rogers has done a fantastic job of keeping this book both interesting and informative. I now feel a lot more comfortable with my upcoming interview. If you’re looking at this book, I assume you’re probably in a similar situation – good luck!
