It worked but the motor was wired backwards.
It is a nice rc. I opened it to see a great looking truck. Color is beautiful along with the chrome. I think this is one of the first that the suspension actually works like it's supposed to without catching. I was surprised to learn it has real bead lock tires. Tailgate and hood open. Under hood is where the battery and receiver are located. The remote has an annoying cover over the buttons like many do. The batteries in the remote are actually backwards to the picture... maybe that's why it ran backwards? I don't know. I just swapped the motor leads on the plug end to the receiver. It works good. Going to be interesting to see how to build it. Looks great stock but as everyone knows Looks better customized to your style. Enjoy your rc adventures.

Good.. not great, but good.
The media could not be loaded. First, it is a SCALE model that can climb, trail drive and crawl over small obstacles. It is a accurate replica of a 1948-1950 Ford F1 pickup truck, with nice exterior and interior details, but it is not licensed, so no "Ford" logos or emblems. If you like scale models that act like the real vintage truck.. not fast, and very bouncy, then you will love it. It climbs and descends about a 45 degree slope as pictured, has very good traction and will brake and "hold" on those angles. The headlights work and are operated with the controller by pushing the "LED" button. The rear lights come on when the model is reversed... I would have preferred they just came on and stayed on with the headlights. The pictures indicate the max angles I could get for inclines and side angles without sliding or tipping. Looking at the chassis, it is 4 wheel drive with locked diffs and real driveshafts. It has coil springs, but no real shock absorbers. It has strong alloy frame rails and some scale looks to it. The controller is a bit more complicated than it needs to be, but it works well, being smooth and having good range.. I tested it to 150 feet with no problem. It has a car club-like "Strokers" decal on the rear bumper, which is kinda cool, and a euro-style front license plate that says "Florida- The last frontier".(?)... which is kinda weird. But overall, cost considered, it is a beautiful little truck that looks good and works well. THE DOWNSIDE.. No on/off button on the truck, so you have to unplug the battery to turn it off, and plug it in to turn it on, along with pushing the tiny bind button on the receiver. Always turn your transmitter/controller on first. And the connectors for the battery are tiny and somewhat fragile. There are no real shocks, and with the super soft tires and springs, sometimes it gets a bit too bouncy for accurate control. Not fast at all, and power is not great.. just "OK". The instructions could be better.. just sayin'. I give it two thumbs-up for looks, one thumb-up for performance. I recommend an age group of 8+, with adult help with the battery. And Amazon gets two big thumbs up for packing it well and shipping it zippity-quick! Update 5/7 23- Loaded it down with rocks, ran it in mud, and it did well.. no tire rubbing on the body, and no driveline binding even though I loaded it down with rocks until the suspension bottomed and the tires flattened. Tough little truck!

not 1:18
The scale is off. it's larger than 1:18. I have panda 1:18 and the hobby shop has traxxis 1:18 Land Rover. This truck is larger so it doesn't fit in where I intended it. But it's too cool to return so I have kept it. I like it a lot. The remote is complicated so the instructions help.
