I trust Now Supplements a great deal. Most of my supplements are from this brand. I've always been satisfied with the quality and the effectiveness.That said, my usual K supplement is Life Extension Super K. When you compare Life Extension Super K to this you get the same ingredients but in different amounts -- and this NOW version is a few dollars more expensive at the moment for the same 90-day supply.You should take K if you're supplementing with D-3. D-3, in the absence of K, can (supposedly) cause calcium build-up in your arteries. The theory behind adding in K (or specifically K2) supplements is that they will sweep that calcium buildup out so the D-3 doesn't begin to cause you problems.In addition to its benefits to your blood, K is also great for bone health.What's holding me off from giving this 5 stars is you're getting more of each ingredient in the Life Extension Super K vs this.I think this is a terrific supplement and Now is a brand we can trust, but I'm probably going to lean towards the product that gives me more mcg of K1 and K2 in it for less money since we honestly don't know the perfect amount of K to supplement with D-3 to achieve the results I'm speaking of above.What I do know is that having D-3 and a K supplement like this in my regimen has my blood work in a great place -- I don't need statins -- while some of that is diet and exercise, some of that also comes from my supplement regiment.I would compare this with the Life Extension product and make your own choice. But seriously, you cannot go wrong with buying supplements from Now. The D-3 I take is from Now brand.
