Incredible product & Major time saver!
I normal wait a little while before I write my product reviews just to make sure the product doesn't break or disappoint after a week...However, this product works just as fast as it took to open the packet and read the instructions. I don't know what type of chemical adhesive reaction is created after this product touched the glass but I could tell INSTANTLY that the permatex was working and this was the correct purchase option. I even dropped the metal hanger and the oil adhesive did not stick to me or my clothing. It wiped right off. But when I re-applied it and placed it on the activated area of the windshield glass it bonded immediately. Incredible! I naively tried to hang my mirror with other adhesives first which all failed, and I wish I would have just used permatex to begin with. Still its done and I'm more than happy with the results. Best $4 I've ever spent lol!

Buy this one
Whatever you do, make sure you know exactly where you want the mirror button on the windshield. If you follow the directions exactly (with a magnifying glass to read them), you'll have about 5 seconds to align it exactly where you want it. Mine's crooked, but it's definitely on there. Get some 400 grit sandpaper and a flat surface and sand the old button (or a new one) to roughen it up a bit and clean off any residual adhesive. This is the third brand I tried, and it worked. The other didn't hold long enough to tighten the screw on the mirror.

Did not hold my mirror
I applied Permatex to my review mirror in my truck according to the product instructions. I did not move my truck for 48 hours. The first day I drove my truck, my mirror fell off the windshield. I do not recommend

Look Back At It
The mirror on my 93' Nissan 240SX fell off due to old age and from me stuffing a plushie between it and the windshield. Followed the instructions to a T and it worked out. It feels solid on the windshield. I've read a dozen of the reviews saying it's garbage and doesn't work or hold up for long. I'll try to update this review if I can. So far I've had it on for one month. For installation, I was on the colder end of the recommended temperature so I preheated the windshield with a heat gun for about 3 minutes. Just warm to the touch. Nothing crazy. And after applying the metal nub to the windshield I periodically warmed up both sides of the windshield so the temperature would cool down slowly. The key is to remember this product works because it's a chemical reaction and you sort of have to make it an "ideal" place for the reaction to happen. If this product doesn't work out for you, there are suction cup mirrors that look the part and are around $15. Thanks for the read.Update: 5/20/2025It fell off after being exposed to the sun on a 95+ degree day. I did hit it with my head really hard once a couple of months ago so maybe that's what caused the glue to weaken. Up until this point there was absolutely zero wobbling. I'd still probably recommend this product and try it again if I had more.

Easy to apply, didn't last for me
Smooth to apply, no issues. Bonded well. The bad is it only lasted about 4 months. Mirror fell off again.
