Excellent Router
I have very recently upgraded my home broadband from a BT FTTC which was giving me approx 57Mbps down & 16Mbps up to a full FTTH which gave me 945Mbps down & 945Mbps up via a different provider. The attached photo was taken with my Poco F3 mobile phone on WiFi 6 approx 8-9ft away from the router. My old Asus RT-AC68U router just couldn't keep up with the speed over a wired connection to my PC, I noticed when I did a speed test via the Ookla Speed test app the dual core was maxed out 100% and my speed started clipping and dropping to appox 700Mbps, the WiFi was also very slow (approx 200Mpbs) so I decided to buy this router on Prime Day. (£143.99)This AX6000 router is a lot newer, and has a 2GHz Quad Core CPU plus it has more ariels.First thing I noticed was a much faster and slicker interface when you log in to set up your internet. Also updating settings are a lot quicker as well.So onto the speed test, not only do I now get the full speed I've listed above, but the quad core barely registers 1 or 2 cores above 3-4% !!!My partner's laptop WiFi is now in the 800Mbps so no need for a cable, which we were considering. Also my mobile phone is using WiFi 6 and hitting between 800-900Mbps in the same room as this router and approx 600-750mbps two rooms away!It hasn't (yet) caused me any issues and has been stable. One thing I needed to do the other day was change the DNS settings as my provider flaked out on me in the middle of the night, so now using Cloudflare which was very easy to set up in and works perfectly. So at this time I can highly recommend this router to anyone looking to upgrade their system and performance.

Very capable, great value
This router is very capable with Wifi 6 for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, 160Mhz channel width for 5Ghz, and 40Mhz for 2.4Ghz, making wifi speeds very fast and the signal strength from the 6 antennae is great. For port connectivity there are two 2.5Gbit ethernet ports, one for the WAN and one for LAN along with four more 1Gbit ethernet ports for LAN. This means if you have >1Gbit fibre internet, (I have 1.6Gbit, which is the fastest openreach do and therefore will be the same for many others in UK) you will be able to actually get that speed on a PC, reliably via a wired connection. It has a lot of useful functions as well as connectivity, it can create most types of VPN, host files on USB drives, even torrent files, send magic packets etc. This means it is effectively a simple server, and always on, yet using low amounts of power.A great value router overall!

Great router with dual 2.5GB ports
The ASUS TUF Gaming AX6000 router is as steady and reliable as all the Asus routers I have owned and works fantastically. It is a well-priced router with great wifi and the thing I really needed was a 2.5GB WAN port and a 2.5GB Lan port, which matched my network LAN requirements the 2.5GB WAN works excellent with my Virgin Media Super Hub 5 and Gig1 Fibre Broadband in router mode.It is working great as main router in a AiMesh network with other Asus routers as Nodes. The only two things I dislike about it.Firstly the TUF Web UI you can't switch off and I can't stand the look of it. Just a personal thing. Though not a big problem, it does affect the router's running. The second thing is really for Mac users. Asus has removed support for USB drives for Apple Time Machine in the ASUS TUF Gaming AX6000.If you have any other older Asus routers that are working with this router they currently still support Apple Time Machine at the moment.

Incredibly disappointing
I actually think mine might be faulty so am trying to contact the manufacturerI bought this after reading many online reviews. Bought to replace a working fine but ageing TP-Link VR600 Mk 2. The Asus is very easy to install just using the app, which also has a lot of options to control in this unit. The standard webpage interface is of course more powerful and has more options but the app is really handy. As I have a 1Gb/s internet connection I decided to use one of the 2.5Gb sockets. It works really well and I get good speedsOne of the main reasons for buying this model was the superior wi-fi coverage of the beam-forming mesh system. Unfortunately the WIFI of this product is simply unfit for purposeRegularly throughout the day my phone (and other wireless devices) report either no wi-fi or 'connected without internet'. If I turn off the wifi on the device and back again it sometimes finds it but other times can go minutes or longer with just no wi-fi available (my next door neighbours' network and the people across the roads network show just fine but not mine). Using the WiFi Analyzer app it shows no availability for the 2.5Ghz network and sometimes sees the 5Ghz network but with a signal strength less than -90dBm. I've tried different channels and settings but nothing works. This happens even if I am sat next to the routerThen there is the wifi coverage which is a whole level worse than the old TP-Link model, despite being more modern more powerful and with WiFi6. The claimed 'beam forming' is just marketing junk and doesn't exist, the range is poor and the signal levels low generallyThe wired connection which is used by my PC, works laptop and my Smart TV all get great speeds and shows as connected, but throughout the day lose all bandwidth. If I am in a Google Meet or Teams session the audio and video breaks up and lags, web pages give error codes, my Microsoft 365 shows connection issues as does my work software. My smart TV shows no connection etc yet the modem is stable and the router logs show it is connectedAll in all this is a good looking router with great controls and capable of fast results - but is unreliable, inconsistent and has the worst wi-fi performance I have ever seen

Does the job well for my mobile devices
Doing an excellent job in my cupboard. Strong wifi6 signal, easy to configure. Looks a bit sci fi techy so I have been forced to put it out of sight by her indoors.
