Charger Stand, Compatible with Philips Norelco S9000 Prestige SP98xx, Base, Cradle, Matte Black (Shaver and Power Cord NOT Included)

Well constructed and fits perfectly.

Certainly a niche product, but innovative and addresses what Philips overlooked on their high-end shaver. The corded model of the Prestige (separate from the model with a Qi charger) has no charging stand OR cleaning station - for a shaver costing in the $300 range. Compared to a top-of-the-line similarly priced Braun or Panasonic which DO provide both of those options. And adding insult to injury, Philips does provide both in their newest Series 7000/9000 shavers, with the charging station seemingly easily modifiable to fit the Prestige (to be fair, with the new, square - and actually worse - head fitted to the NEW S9000 Prestige model, you do get a minimal cleaning station, the Quick Clean pod). Just not a charging stand. So in their highest-end rotary shaver, you're left with plugging in your shaver every time you need to recharge it, leaving it charging on your bathroom counter probably at least once a week for most users, then unplugging it and storing the shaver and cord somewhere until you need it. Or this.This unit is actually functional but lacks a couple of elements that would make it ideal (and 5 stars). For one thing, it's tall, and actually adds (about 2.5") significantly to the height of the shaver on the counter (about 8.5" overall, shaver + charging stand). The charger for the new (non-Prestige) S7000/9000 Philips shavers is flat, and adds maybe 1/2" to the shaver height (so even though the new S7000/9000 shavers are actually about 1/2" longer than the Prestige, in the charging stand they are about an inch shorter than the Prestige in its stand). The new S7000/9000 charging stand also uses an almost identical connector to the Prestige shaver, just not one that works with the Prestige, bringing up the second issue, which is that the connector in the new S7000/9000 charger is not just a cord end - it's part of the stand and is designed to slip on and off easily - you just drop the shaver in and lift the shaver out. A charging cord (which is used in the Prestige stand as the connector) is designed to STAY in the shaver and not come out easily, hence inserting and removing the Prestige from this device sometimes requires two hands and a little force. It also doesn't come with a cord (but neither does the other charger type purchased separately), so that's a separate purchase adding about 30% to the cost of this solution if you want a separate travel cord. And it's obviously a 3D printing so a little rough around the edges, and does require "some" assembly - and there's no drain hole in the stand if you shave wet. Although worth mentioning, it is a fairly precise fit, and allows the cord to be shortened by winding inside the stand housing - an innovative feature that I wish Philips included in other products.All of the above noted, it's the only device of its kind - a charging stand for the Philips S9000 Prestige rotary shaver - and it works. Four stars for the idea and the effort, and looking forward to Mark II if it succeeds and the manufacturer decides to improve it. Recommended.

At first I gave it a 1 star review because of lack of cord control and returned it. Then Matt Hoyt reached out to me and admitted some of the short comings of his product but said he fixed it and would send out another. I received it the other day and he did a fantastic job in his redesign. Fits my Norelco S9000 Prestige shaver perfectly and charges great and has more than enough cord control now. Easy to assemble and set up. Great job Matt! Highly Recommend this product.

It is a clever design and attempted to fill a gap left by Philips Norelco. Unfortunately, it is unwieldily high making it a tip hazard AND it is an extremely tight fit requiring the user to hold onto the charging base in order to remove the shaver. The necessity of using the shaver's rubberized plug also makes the fit problematic since it requires more than a simple push to seat the shaver into the charging base. I congratulate the designer in his clever design but as it currently stands, the charging base is clunky and not really convenient.

Well designed custom made shaver stand for Norelco S9000 Prestige, where-as no stand is available from the manufacturer. I was impressed with the design of this product. Shaver and Charger cable fit snug to base and made from decent plastic material, not flimsy. Also has rubber feet on bottom which is a nice touch. For the price this is an excellent shaver stand for the Norelco S9000 Prestige.
