I got a helix piercing and lobe piercing recentlySometimes I am a side sleeper but you shouldnt sleep on your piercings (also it hurts)I chose this pillow because I have 2 bolster pillows with the same "bamboo" print of the cover. I'm pretty sure this means its bamboo memory foam filling and I LOVE the memory foam quality of it. I expected similar plushiness and quality as the bolster and was not disappointed.There was no smell that irritated me.It came inside a drawstring bag which made it conveniently portable.It is a good height for me, but I think if it was too low, its easily solved by tucking a folded up towel or very flat pillow underneath it.10/10 product :)

I have helix piercings. I can use this as a side sleeper pillow. The hole isn't very big. If I move at all, it bothers my ears. I doesn't wake me, but I have to deal with ears the next day. Due to the dimensions of the hole, it is not comfortable sleeping on my back. The hole is in the wrong spot to support my head. If I adjust to it, there is no neck support.

I always sleep on my left side and never move. My ear was starting to hurt and there was a crusty thing on the upper curve that I thought was cancer. I saw my dermatologist and he said it was actually cartilage poking through the skin due to the pressure on my ear all night. He recommended I get an ear pillow. I looked at all the ones on Amazon and read all of the comments. I picked the one-ear ibigbean pillow because it has a zippered cover you can remove and wash, and it got great reviews. I got the first pillow over a month ago and I love it. I don't need to use it on top of a regular pillow - that would make it too high for me. There were a few comments about a chemical smell which would dissipate quickly, but my pillow didn't smell like anything. After 2 weeks on the pillow the pain was gone and I noticed my ear was smoother, and after a month that crusty area has totally disappeared! I ordered a second pillow to have as a backup. I have washed the covering on the first pillow in my washing machine on regular cycle, making sure I zipped it closed first, and it came out perfect. I dried it in the dryer on regular heat and it also came out perfect. I was concerned that machine washing and drying might shrink it up a bit, but it fit back on the pillow like it hadn't been washed and dried. So glad I have this pillow!

Hard

I just had my helix pierced. The rule is no side sleeping for 6-9 months, up to a year if you can make it. Well that lasted about three nights and I would wake up every time I turned to the pierced side. Needless to say it was restless, uncomfortable and just miserable. I dreamt about cutting a hole in my pillow which prompted my awake brain cells to google hemorrhoid pillows and eventually I landed here. I was debating between this and the blissbury - I will admit if it’s more $ I wonder if it’s better. But, this had great reviews and I didn’t need a cover or travel case so opted for this one. First, there is no odor out of the box. Second, while it is small it still works fine to sleep on. Third, at least for me, I don’t like firm pillows at all. The blissbury was described as firm. So I took a chance. I still had my reservations but I can tell you I slept on my pierced side and to my delight there room for my ear without pulling or pain. It worked! And it was comfortable, not stiff. Offers nice neck support. You don’t need to buy an extra pillow case. Just use one you have an stiff extra material into the hole. I don’t usually write reviews however since I benefitted from the reviews of others and I was very pleased with this I hope that this review helps someone else down the line also. Not a cheap piece of imported junk!

Very firm

I really liked the thickness of the pillow and it helped so much for my new piercings. The only thing I didn’t like was the space between the pillow and my shoulder so it was a little tricky to get comfortable because of the smaller size. Great buy though!
