Distance: Beneath the Mask Series, Book 1

The way they met and the instant pull they had for one another without even saying as much as a hello is just wow. Honestly, this book is top-notch and I would give the world to read it for the first time again. The ending killed me with how cute they are and I can't even explain how excited I am to read the next book.

This was an interesting read. Keller was a masked hitman for the mob by night and a billionaire player boy boxer by day. When sienna falls into his lap, sparks fly. Due to their pasts he pushed her away but kept coming back. Both were insecure in the fact neither thought they were good enough for each other, but they found a way. Good read.

Great characters, excellent plot, intrigued, suspense, hot guys, a rollercoaster of emotions, it was fantastic a definite must read, I highly recommend it 😀

But the errors of continuity and grammar really got on my nerves. The rhythm is also wrong, it feels like the dialogues are rushed. I wish the author’s editors had helped with proofreading and making sure that characters’ names were correct throughout the book. The story is good it just needs a bit more work.

I’ve had this book on my kindles TBR list for months. I’m kicking myself that I haven’t read it sooner. But I’m equally gutted that it’s over.This is the perfect mix of action, angst, spice and fun. I devoured it in 5 hours.Keller is the ideal morally grey, protective alpha male MMC. He falls first for FMC Sienna who is dealing with a number of abandonment issues as well as a stalking cheating ex. She doesn’t get a knight in shining armour, she gets a dark knight who’s willing to burn the city to the ground to protect her.

My first luna mason read 4/5 for storyline and spice . Well written over all , first book in the series. Keller wsd a well written character.

The way this book has has me on edge going through all sorts of emotions this book has gotten me out of a book slump and I’m so excited to continue reading the series

I’m always up for anything unique, different and one of a kind.A twist in this mafia/ boxer/ hit man romance.Really enjoyable, entertaining and Killer start to this series.

Loved to read this book!!The plot was good and well written, the chemistry between Keller and Sierra was amazing!! The spice is perfect, one of the good books ive read this year!!

First off, I do not regret the purchase of this book and I plan to purchase the other books within this series. The story was one that I found to be unique and hold qualities that I have not seen in a mafia romance book. I do enjoy the series name because by the end you understand why "Beneath the Mask" is utilized.If you love a storyline that follows the MMC and FMC and how they fall in love, then this is it!If you love a protective/touch her you die MMC and a witty/knows her worth FMC, this book will check the box!If you love a HEA with a special epilogue, then this book is for you!Distance proved that nothing beats a good mafia/boxer/assassin character meeting Miss British/ Independent/childhood trauma that has a body like a goddess. Usually, the sports tropes or anything close to a "sports trope" does not hit it for me (personally). Yet for this book to have an even blend of sport (boxing), mafia elements, love, spice, humor, and unique characters, I can say I enjoyed the aspects of it all. What made understanding the characters enjoyable was that their childhood upbringings were things that aided them in each of their unique ways. Keller used his childhood upbringing, and with the aid of his adopted brother, Luca, Keller was able to find a channel for the dark monster within. Then for Sienna, she was able to work through her childhood trauma with Keller by her side. Also, I appreciated how Luna Mason let Sienna and Keller use logic and reasoning in portions, throughout the story, rather than letting their emotions completely run everything. It was nice to see the MMC realize what it was going to take to get his woman back and that it was not to be easy.Now apart from the characters, the plot was solid overall and contained some good even pacing along the way. I liked the fact that the story was not rushed along, and humor and wit were placed in appropriate places when needed. Also, I liked how the plot allowed for other character-building to occur, apart from Keller and Sienna's storyline. I think what made the storyline overall solid was the introduction of characters, how the storyline progressed, and how it ended. Would I say that Sienna and Keller's storyline is solid across the board? No, but when you understand the character's motives and the outside forces that are affecting the characters, it is easier to understand why Keller and Sienna make the choices they make throughout the story. Plus, as I mentioned before, the series name ties in well, and since we are introduced to Grayson and Luca who have their books, it makes you want to see "Beneath the Mask" with them too.

I really love this book !!Siena and Keller are a really good combinationIt’s a fast read that will want to read more about them …I loved the groveling… hate when it’s too fast but was hard to read how bad both of them got with the time apart ! Maddie is the best friend that every girl needs and I can’t wait to read her book next (I have a Grayson on my head and he is hoooot … so I can’t wait for this explosion )Keller is a complex guy that fell hard and first for the girl next door. I love that Sienna is not a legs for days, blond, tall girl … makes you love her sassy even more. Avevo aspettative altissime per questo libro, ma purtroppo non sempre va tutto liscio come l’olio.Keller è un campione di box, vive nel lusso e ha tutto dalla vita. Il fratello acquisito Luca ne è a capo e una volta che Keller avrà pagato il suo debito verrà liberato.Sienna è forte e combattiva, ha appena scoperto che il suo ragazzo la tradiva e decide di mettere fine alla relazione, ma lui non è dello stesso avviso. Comincia così a importunare Sienna, facendole regali inquietanti e spaventandola fuori casa. Keller e Sienna si conoscono una sera in un locale, e da quel momento non riescono più a staccarsi l’uno dall’altra.Sono consapevole che questo libro è un esordio, quindi vorrei dare il beneficio del dubbio all’autrice e continuare con la serie, anche perché i protagonisti del secondo libro mi ispirano molto di più e spero la scrittrice abbia fatto tesoro delle critiche ricevute per il primo, perché su Goodreads è pieno.Questo libro avrebbe bisogno di una bella ripassata nelle mani di un editor e correttore, molti errori grammaticali e punti salienti saltati a piè pari.Un amore, raccontato in questo libro, a mio parere un po’ troppo insta, tutto troppo veloce e parecchio surreale.Non lo chiamerei nemmeno un mafia romance a tutti gli effetti, le scene effettive saranno state tre in tutto, l’azione deriva più da lui che la protegge dal suo ex che dal suo lavoro di enforcer (in cui tra l’altro è mascherato perché essendo famoso non deve essere riconosciuto) ma per il resto la mafia viene solo nominata.“Luca E’ la mafia” oookaaaay. Spero che nel suo libro venga spiegato come sia salito al potere vista la sua stessa situazione di Keller nell’infanzia.Avrei preferito più angst reale forse piuttosto che questo continuo tira e molla palesemente finto visto che si sono innamorati da subito e non vedono l’ora di passare la vita insieme.Non saprei, non lo odio ma non mi è piaciuto tantissimo.Se vi incuriosisce leggetelo, ma con le pinze.
