Great, lovely craft idea to do with the grandkids
Me and the granddaughter love making pom poms together. As a knitter who hoards wool (or 'yarn'.. whatever) we have made all sorts of colours and sizes with this kit. I used to use cardboard but kept cutting it. And anyway, these are much more fun.Re the wavy edges, I haven't a clue what benefit they are. I don't have any with straight edges to compare them with. They don't make the finished pom poms look wavy as far as I can see. Indeed, whenever you make a pom pom you would normally chop off any straggling bits to end up with a more uniform shape. So the wavy edges are only more likely to give you more to trim off.The instructions aren't easy to follow but I suspect that many people would probably rather watch a video of someone else using one. If you just Google 'how to make pom poms with a pom pom maker' you will easily find one. There's no point the makers putting a link to a video. Videos and links change all the time. Have a go with the kids, they are addictive!

Brilliant idea
Wow how things have moved on if you ever made pompoms as a kid spending ages cutting 2 cardboard rings and then an age winding wool around an around . No more bought so my daughters could make gonks for a charity sale at Christmas and how fast it is is unbelievable you will be gob smacked a must for crafters for sure

Fabulous round pom poms!
Lovely pom poms! There are some instructions that I consider essential which are not on the step by step pictures. When wrapping, make many layers. Wrap over and over your wrapping for a more full pom pom.At the end when you've managed to cut through all your wraps and you have opened the "wings" you have 2 plastic "S" shapes attached to the centre "flower". You have to wiggle the 2 centre plastic flowers apart. YES the pom pom maker comes apart! Do not be afraid! There is a central pin that holds them together but it is easy to wiggle them apart. Cutting is quite hard work so not great for little children or those with dexterity issues. All that said I'm delighted with my pom pom results.

Easy to use when fitting is complete
Large pompom maker was in bits tried to put it together, but found the they didn't meet as they should have reason being it had two left parts no right part a bit of a waste of time and money. Hope no-one else has this problem
