Great jump starter
I wanted to wait to write a review on this until after I actually had to use it, and I’ve used it twice now; once on my 2021 F-150 and once on a diesel engine with two batteries connected in parallel in a vehicle similar to a FedEx delivery truck. It started my F-150 up right away first try, and it did eventually start the delivery truck after about minute or charging and three attempts. The jump starter’s battery was still at 75% after jumping the diesel. It is dead easy to use and is a good portable size. Just connect the clamps to the battery, connect the other end to the jumper, and push the power button and it works. I bought two and keep one in my truck and one in my wife’s car.

The real deal
So I was really skeptical if this would work. I have an old pickup that I start every 2 or 3 years to haul stuff to the dump. I don't run it in-between trips, so the battery is dead most the time. Hooked this pack to the battery and boom! Started that thing up like right now. Unbelievable...Having had that good experience, I took it to a friend's house who lives in a junkyard. The battery was fully charged and we wanted to see how many old cars we could turn over at the speed needed to start that particular vehicle. 12 vehicles! No joke.I'm very impressed with this product. It performed above and beyond my expectations. Just buy it if you're looking for portable battery power. It really works...Amen

A Lifesaver in Every Way
As someone who believes in being prepared for any situation, the GOOLOO GP3000 Jump Starter has earned its place as a must-have in my vehicle emergency kit. I’ve kept a GOOLOO charger in my car since 2019 and have gifted them to my wife and son for their vehicles. Over the years, I’ve used it to help countless friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even strangers—everyone from a postal worker to a construction crew with a dead skid steer. My son has even used his to rescue stranded college friends. But today, the GOOLOO GP3000 became my hero.On the way home from picking up my 10-year-old son from school, my truck decided to throw in the towel. It started with the battery light coming on earlier in the day, which I dismissed as a potential sensor issue. By the time the ABS light started flashing, the clock went out, and my truck began making ungodly noises, I realized the alternator had given up.We were still three blocks from home, and the temperature was a bitter 10°F. The truck was dead, my son was scared, and I was determined to get us home safely.I popped it out, hit the boost button repeatedly to transfer as much charge as possible, and eventually found a way to brace the jump starter in place so it could supply the power my truck desperately needed. With its help, I was able to start the truck and make it home with juice to spare. This jump starter didn’t just get us home—it gave me peace of mind when I needed it most. Whether you’re dealing with extreme weather, helping others in need, or, like me, facing an unexpected roadside emergency, the GOOLOO GP3000 is the ultimate lifesaver.Thank you, GOOLOO, for creating a product that delivers on its promises and then some. If you’re on the fence about adding this to your car kit, don’t hesitate—it’s worth every penny!

One of the better options for the price
I've purchased half a dozen jump starters some from big well recognized brands like Anker, Ravpower, and Duracell and some from no-name Chinese brands. Gooloo started out as a no-name Chinese brand but they've proven to last at least a few years which is more than you can say for nearly all no-name Chinese brands. And, even more important, in testing and use they make some decent products and this jump starter is one of them.I have the test equipment to test the internal battery capacity of jump starters, how much realistic current they can provide and at what voltage for starting a vehicle, and their charging characteristics. A huge difference between many jump starters is how many battery cells they have. Li-Ion calls produce about 3.2 volts each when fully charged under ideal conditions with a heavy load such as trying to start a vehicle. So with a cell jump starter that's 9.6 volts while cranking and that quickly drops as the charge is depleted in the jump starter. Most jump starters under around a hundred bucks, and many even more expensive products, are 3 cell designs and just don't have the oomph to do the job in many cases. Let's say it's been in your vehicle for 6 months and now only has about a 50% charge level. Now you might get 8 volts or less while cranking. Or lets say it's the dead of winter, when your vehicle battery is most likely to need help, and the cold temps also greatly reduce the output of the jump starter because li-ion batteries struggle in cold temps so you also get under 8 volts.Basically 8 or 9 volts is often not enough to start many vehicles. So what you really want is a FOUR CELL jump starter and that's exactly what the Gooloo GP2000 is. So instead of 9 volts, or even less, you get around 12 volts while cranking just like the battery in your vehicle typically provides. It's often easily the difference between your vehicle starting or not. This has been proven out in countless reviews of jump starters.Another really important issue you don't see much about is self discharge. These jump starters don't have a hard "off switch" the electronics inside are always active waiting for you use to use it as jump starter or USB power bank. Those electronics draw a small amount of power even when the jump starter isn't being used for anything. Likewise Li-Ion batteries have their own self discharge. Higher quality cells have much less self discharge than cheap Chinese cells. To put it simply I've had jump starters end up useless after just 6 months in a vehicle because they were down to 50% or less of their capacity just from sitting in the glove box. That's not very useful. Both of my Gooloo jump starters, including this one, only lose about 2 or 3% of charge per month. So after 6 months you're only down 12 - 18% instead of 50% or more with other brands. The maH and W/hr ratings of the batteries in all of these jump starters are usually grossly overstated in typical Chinese fashion. The battery cells they use are designed for the very high discharge currents needed to start a vehicle rather than low draw loads like a typical USB power bank requires. So, long story short, they behave nothing like a USB power bank. The GP2000 is rated at 19,800 mAH or 73 watt hours but, with a typical 2 amp load say charging a phone from the USB port, it only delivers around one third of that. So it's about equivalent to a 6000 or 7000 mAH USB power bank not the nearly 20,000 mAH Gooloo claims. But that issue is true across all jump starters I and others have tested. Yes it will still charge your phone in a pinch just beware jump starters are optimized for starting vehicles not being used as power banks. The Chinese really should be more honest about this. Finally, it's worth considering the battery in any jump starter is big enough to cause a spectacularly hot and destructive fire if it fails in the wrong way. Remember Samsung Galaxy Tab phones being banned from aircraft because many violently burst into flame and often ignited anything nearby? That Samsung battery had a tiny fraction of the power of any jump starter. The risks are higher when the jump starter is being charged so it's best to only charge them when you're home in case something goes wrong. But, in general, any large Li-Ion battery has the power of a gasoline Molotov cocktail and a similar ability to burn your house and/or vehicle to the ground if things go wrong. So it's worth buying from at least a somewhat reputable brand that stands something to lose if their products start becoming incendiary devices as many Li-Ion powered device have such as the whole Chinese "hoverboard" disaster.
