I bought two of these, one for my police belt and the other for off duty use. After 25 years of police work this by far my favorite multi tool. Being able to access the knife and screwdriver without having to expand the entire tool is the best feature. I've used this multi tool from everything to opening packages to removing stolen license plates to cutting off flex cuffs to cutting off seatbelts to punching a new hole in my duty belt when I lost weight. No matter your profession, you're not going to find a better multi tool, but it's proven it's usefulness for first responders.

Just as some background for the kind of user that I am, I'm a Locksmith/Security Professional and I frequently deal with electrical wiring, mechanical security systems, locks, strikes, cameras, storefront doors, and pretty much any and all kinds of various security products and jobs. I previously used to carry a Leatherman Skeletool for a quite a while, and I really liked the slim and small design of the Skeletool, so moving up to a more full sized multi-tool meant less pocket space, but I can attest that the Center-Drive still fits into the small "watch pocket" in my jeans, so that's a plus. Other great things that I really love about this multi-tool is the ability to use full sized bit in it, which is my profession is great considering many things use Security-style screw, such as Security Torx and Security Hex, ect., and that something I was not going to be able to use with the my old Skeletool, and it's really helps me to be able to use any bit I need in a pinch. It's the tool I probably use more than any of the others, and it really outshines with the centered driver, I've used it to install full-size commercial hinges with machined #3 screws to hang doors, it's a life saver to have when you only have one hand available. The full size knife is awesome, although I probably use it for opening boxes or as a pry tip more than anything, as can be seen by the broken tip on my tool; it's been used and abused, poor knife. I use the pliers as much as the bit driver, it *CAN* strip wiring on its inserts (although it's not fantastic at it and is more like a light cutter than anything else), and the skinny end of the pliers is great for pulling wiring out of small holes during wire fishing. Other tools in it include a file with 2 kinds of filing surfaces (straight lines and criss-cross lines), bottle opener, awe, saw, spare bit holder, and a small ruler with up to ~3 in and ~8 mm. Overall, it's been a fantastic tool and I've glad I purchased it; it's served me well for over a year and I'm sure it will continue to serve me well for even longer.

I'm a blue collar worker and originally just got this for the driver portion, however I find myself using most every tool in this thing on a daily basis. Combined with the RAE sheath and a hex 10mm and 8mm driver its very well rounded. I find myself carrying it on my hip even on the weekends it's that useful. Do yourself a favor and just buy it already

I'm a handyman. I like the functionality, it's the most useful multitool I have owned. Unfortunately the ergonomics fall short of what they could be. I would spend a little more $ if Gerber would put in a little more time. I used a Dremel with a grinder wheel to take off all the sharp edges, there are so many of them! The back side of the knife blade digs into your hand when you use the screw driver, the detent in the knife blade for one hand operation tears your thumb when you open the knife. etc, etc. The nylon case is crap. The tool hangs up going in, feels like it might fall out, and the bit holder rattles around and inevitably comes out of the case along with the tool when I am only trying to take the tool out. If anyone has a recommendation for a better nylon case please let me know. All that being said, the center drive is a great feature, the pliers are good, and I haven't seen anything I like better in a multitool, too bad Gerber didn't level up a little more though.

I'd resisted buying a multitool because they tended to have a bunch of stuff I didn't need. I love the simplicity of this one, and the on-axis screwdriver is awesome. Will buy again.

I’ve been using the gerber one handed multi tools for years, I broke the center drive once before and gerber sent me a replacement, I use this everyday for work as a maintenance technician

I'm an industrial controls guys, specifically I work for a company that builds and refurbishes boilers, chillers, water towers, DA's and such. This is my go too tool and the center drive feature is my most used. I can do alot with this before breaking out the toolbag. Toss the sheath and get an aftermarket option.

This little tool is awesome to toss on your belt and have a STURDY screwdriver set at the ready at a moments notice. Plus for the price, you can’t beat the build quality.
