Firstly, unlike the other reviewer, the ruler on my mousepad is accurate for most intents and purposes (1mm diff out of 300mm). Maybe it varies a bit because of thermal expansion or stretching, I'm definitely not going to use a rubber material to make scientific measurements.I've tried other gaming brands before and spent big money on them. R_z_r Gigantus frayed within a month of use, L_g_t_ch desk mat felt like sandpaper, other clothed ones got dirty and worn out really fast. This Aim Lab mousepad I can already tell it's built to last, the composite surface is waterproof and durable, and the thick rubber underneath makes it soft to the palm unlike the plastic R_z_r sphex. In the past I've always thought ROG was a tax for the rich kids, but recently I've been switching my PC gear to ROG products and I've never looked back. They are expensive, but you know you are getting the best of the best and don't need to bother trying another one, I can't say the same about other 'gaming brands' who are perfectly happy selling you a mid product at premium prices.

The texture is very nice as it's a hybrid which i prefer. The feeling of a hard texture that is soft enough to aide slow and precise movements is the best. However the "ruler" at the bottom while useful, it is slightly inaccurate and shouldnt be used as an accurate ruler. That being said it is also water proof which you can find out after spilling your drink! Solid mouse mat albeit expensive though
