Worth every penny!
This is my goto utility knife. Keeps a SCARY shard edge! If I am messing around the house this knife is on my hip. It replaced the two foldable versions of this knife that I have.

Solid
This knife is rock solid and beautiful right out of the box. I have several razel models in my collection. I don’t have a single complaint or flaw to report on the blade it’s perfect

Great knife, ok sheath
I own several CRKT knives and have enjoyed all of them, my most recent being the Razel, it's a great knife, beautiful build, feels great in the hand, good weight, very sharp straight out of the box, great retention in the sheath, now the only down side is the sheath sheath itself, it's very large and doesn't have room for any of the other fixed blade belt clips, unless you wear it "boy scout style" like I've seen (Granted I can't use those due to the belt I have to wear being military) the attached pocket clip doesn't really have enough hold to the pocket like it was intended, the retention to the blade is greater than to the pocket. Besides that if you're looking for a cleaver style knife I recommend the Razel especially for the price.

Sheath is quite usable
Read a few reviews saying the sheath is terrible, it is not. It can be easily modified to fit on a belt, and no part of the blade's edge comes into contact with the sheath at any point unless you're being hasty. Holds the knife well. Thinking about adding a short hemp lanyard to the eyelet to facilitate removal from the sheath.. this knife is great, it comes with a decently sharp edge and appears symmetrical. Sharpened to a razor edge quickly using a diamond hone and strop.

Worthless sheath without mod.
Well. As many here said. The sheath isn't good. When used with clip, it is very uncomfortable in all positions and it interferes access to front or rear pocket, which every handyman needs access to. I just happen to have a belt loop kit on me that I bought for another project and added it to the sheath. Now in scout carry position, it not only allow unobstructed access into all my pockets, it is more concealable and deployment and sheathing actually improved dramatically.Edit: After carrying a few days in scout position, this has become my favorite handyman knife. I have many other knives but this is the one I carry for daily work. It works well cutting boxes and packaging of all sorts. Have not tried it on chisel mode yet.

Sharp
Sharp, literally. But also sharp looking different "knife". Well-made, arrived in a timely manner and as described and pictured. Good to average value. Pleased customer.

Love the knife but the sheath, not so much
The sheath is huge and offers only one means of attachment for carry. The blade is very stout but required a fair amount of work to establish a decent edge.

Well made but too small
In the picture, you will see three knives to compare: OKC Rat 3 Gobar, Cold Steel Code 4 and CRKT Razel each with either a “chisel” or tanto blade. I was looking for an EDC that I could use for work. Currently, I use my Cold Steel Code 4 Tanto for most things that I dont want to get a specialized tool to use. Yes, any of these will open boxes and be conversation starters, but for me, I also need a tool to cut, pry, skim, shape, trim, I hope you get the Idea. I was thinking a fixed blade would be best and I am comparing both to my Code-4. First, the Razel: looks great in pictures but this is a 2-1/2 to 3 finger handle. Blade has no finger groove to choke up on the blade but is wide enough to use 1-2 fingers when chiseling with the tip. Note: the chisel tip is NOT chisel ground, it is dual beveled and centered on the spline. The razel is a good, small, square knife but useless as a trade tool.Next the Rat 3 Gobar: OAL is bigger than Razel, handle is 3-1/2 to 4 fingers, chisel tip is the same as the Razel and it looks to have a finger groove in the blade to allow choke up…but No! The roundish cut out in the blade and close to the handle is about a 1/4” radius. Uselessly small for any finger large than a small toddler’s. So, choke up is out, unless to plan to get cut or reshape the blade yourself.Steels of both chisel blades are similar enough to be a non-issue. The Code-4 use S-35VN.My quest for a replacement to my Code-4 has failed. I think I will just get another Code-4. 😁. Cheers!
