This came up as a recommendation right when I was wondering if there was even such a thing. And behold! Here it is!I like to keep my bedroom door mostly closed at night to keep out the ambient light from the rest of the house. Living with cats, however, made it impossible to keep the door shut to a specific width. And forget closing it all together! My one cat will cry and scratch the door if you leave her on the other side. Then, of course, the youngest male cat just has to chase one of his sisters and they come barreling through the door and crashing it wide open. We used an old slipper to try and keep the door mostly shut, but it didn't always work. The first night with this was so peaceful. All the cats could come and go as they please. If they chased each other, the door stayed a fixed width.I did have a bit of a problem getting it over the door knob, but the plastic stretched enough to fit. It probably works great with a lever door handle. It's also really cute. I got the white paw shape with pink toe beans. Very nice!

We use this every night. Our kitties are happy with it, and so are we. It's easy to put on and easy to take off. The kitties can get into the bathroom where we keep their litter box. It keeps the door open just enough, and it doesn't allow the door to close.We don't have a dog, so I can't comment on whether it'll keep a dog out, but our kitties go in and out of the bathroom without knocking this off the door.We've had this for about 6 months now, and the white color of the plastic hasn't turned yellow or discolored. The cute little at marking on it have stayed bright without flaking off. And the metal pin in it hasn't come loose or rusted or discolored, either.It doesn't stay flat; eventually, it does become a little curved permanently, but that's not at all a problem for us.Oh, it's also kept us from having to install a kitty door in the bathroom door of our RV--which would have lowered its value a little bit. So that's also another little win.All in all, I'd buy this again, and we like it.

We set up my cat’s litter in a closet, but we didn’t want the door wide open all the time, so I got this door latch and it’s absolutely puuuurfect! Really easy to dent up and the plastic is easy to bend and place in the door. There are different “lengths” you can choose that make the door more or less open. Our cat is able to slip in and out with still having some privacy. Very very happy with it.

This eliminates the need to screw a hook and eye into the door frame so we can keep the dog from getting into the room where we feed the cats. Now the cats can eat their food without the dog stealing it!! I also got one for my son to use in his apartment for the same reason and he no longer has to block the door with chairs to keep the dog out of the room. No tools. No door or door frame damage.

It works to keep the cat out too! We do not let our cat in our room anymore cause she pees on our carpet, but we like to have the door cracked for the whole house fan. This keeps the door cracked just enough to let the breeze flow but not wide enough to let the cat in. It is adjustable, so if you want to have it open enough to let the cat in, that words too. My only complaint is that when you unlock the latch, the stopper drops and hangs weird on the door handle. Luckily I read another review about putting a hair scrunchy on the door handle to help keep the stopper in place.

This is super cute and works exactly as needed! I Like that it is adjustable so I can make it wide enough for my cat, but also keep my parent's dog out of mine and my cat's space. Its also very easy to hook and unhook from the door making it easy to open and close. So far, very durable (so far) and holds the shape I need it to.

Works! And this one is much easier to use than a "fancier" one I tried before - that one I had to get rid of because people kept pushing it too hard and it finally was so bent, I threw it out. This one is cute, too. Talk about easy to install, these don't even need any kind of screws.

absolutely perfect if you don’t want to or can’t “damage” your door in order to install a cat door. My cat is on the small side and I can set my door just closed enough that she can get in and my small dogs can’t, love it! She has her own space now and I can tell she’s happier for it
