Are these compatible with an old 240V 25w bayonet candle bulb (now obsolete)?

Yes. LED wattage gets you about 8 or 9 times the amount of light, so 5.5 watts is equal to about 50 watts of incandescent. The B22 refers to the bayonet type as opposed to ES which means Edison screw, the US or continental version. The 22 is the diameter of the cap in millimetres. Warm White indicates a slightly yellow light which imitates the kind of light the old incandescent ones gave off. I found these to be reliable.

Are these a nice warm white?

Yes, but be sure to chose Warm White bulbs. Bulbs with a cold white light are available, but wouldn't recommend them for home use.
