They work, but you need to be patient with the set up that first time. I recommend doing a dry run before attempting a glue up. Ger the bases set where you wont them, top rails off. On one side you will put the top rail on, make sure that you have the top and bottom in the same slot. Tighten that side then do the next. Like every tool, there will be a learning curve, and patience is key.I had ordered 2 initially, and after a couple glue ups I ordered 2 more. Considering the larger size next.

I’m sure most of you have read on other reviews that you need to practice the set up before your glue up. I did not realize how important this was until I bought the clamps. The clamps can be quite finicky in the set up process. Make sure you have a glue that has a significant set up time. Apart from this initial set up, The panel clips are absolutely wonderful and they produce a flat and even panel with pressure on all four sides.

I found these on sale and thought I would give them a try. They're a little tricky to figure out the best way to use them as you're trying to glue a panel together, but once you figure it out, its a breeze and it makes the panel stay almost perfectly flat so there is very little sanding needed to level things out. They're heavy duty and have showed no signs of bending or warping. Clamp mechanism is strong. I like that it came with a hanging bracket for them to get them off the bench when not in use. I've had very little trouble with the piece being glued sticking to the clamp due to the anti stick coating on them. I will be picking up a 2nd set of them.

These should work well for a long time. Well made. Tough to get the hang of setting them up. Springs make it tough to get everything in place, however, that's just inexperience and will improve with use. Good clamps.

I fought and fought until the glue almost dried on some flamed maple i was using for a cutting board. They would spring all over the place. Not stay in the grooves and whenthey stayed in the grooves the bar that clamps them would shoot up at an angle. If you want to return it you have to sign a waver stating if you used them you are going to pay a restocking fee and it they are not in original condition you will not get a full refund. This is the last time I am doing this. I have always had great luck with Rockler but definitely not this time.
