This was a very good upgrade to the original system in my MK2 Ford Focus. It sounds great, with a great amplifier, and is generally a huge leap ahead of the original. But there are some frustrating niggles with it, for example -Slow reaction time, particularly noticeable when using the navigation app (Google Maps) which takes an age to open and get started. I'd expect this to work much better given the supposed specs of the system - the same app on my phone reacts far more quickly.Must use the built-in phone app to use the phone via bluetooth. Also, my contacts (stored in the cloud) simply will not sync with the device and I've yet to find anything online that would offer a solution.The screen is far too bright and results in any dark colours (especially black) being washed out. Even on it's lowest setting it's too bright - there's very little difference between the lowest and highest settings. I've tried downloading a separate brightness app (eg Dimly) to use but they just don't work satisfactorily with the system.The time on the system keeps resetting itself to 10 minutes fast, no matter what settings I choose (GPS time, network time, or neither). Changing the setting from one to another immediately corrects the time, but the next time the system is switched on, it's 10 minutes fast again.The interface is generally quite clunky, especially the app icons. Given it's supposed to be Android 10 you'd expect it to be much slicker.If the manufacturer could sort some of these out (and it probably wouldn't be that hard to do) this would be one superb system.

Very easy to fit,in 2min plug and play ,literally.The sound quality is much superior than the ford stereo and is slight amplified.Radio work,but i get lose of signal here and there.Work perfectly with Iphone or android phones for streaming music (Spotify)Phone call quality is great,Steering wheel commands work and are customisableOnly thing which dont work is the voice comandat from FordI use it with my Samsung note 10 ,I set-up a Bixby routine and my phone will automatically create a WiFi hot-spot when i get in the car, using a internet radio app(simply radio) ,i can listen every radio station from the planet,plus great sound quality.Being android, it can be customised as you want, you can have games,youtube,etcYou can even download from playstore a car launcher which change completely the look of itBoot up time is under 10sec ,once you start the car.If you do many stops,you can set the unit to go to sleep after certain time, i think is up to 1h, the screen will go blank ,but the app will stay in the background ,paused(if you listen to radio,the sound will be off)You can plug a usb stick with your favourite tunes or moviesYou can add dab radio(but who needs it if you have internet radio)You can add cameras front and rearYou can split the screen ,running 2 apps the same time.As satnav I use HereMaps,which work without internet,using only gps signal(in case you dont have too much data on your phone to waste)Netflix doesn work for some reasonSame as mirroring your phone screen(worked with a iphone 11pro,but very laggy)Overall all i do recommend this unit

I'm actually impressed with this unit. As optimised for my vehicle Ford Focus MK2. Handles most apps well. Although you occasionally get slow responses on some apps, think this is more to do with the WiFi sync capabilities. Screen quality is good and looks very good once installed. I wouldn't bother with DAB as plenty of online radio apps. The mirror link is very impressive and very quick using the preinstalled app EasyConnect. So no real need to buy a android auto dongle as this app is enough. Also really speeds up. I haven't installed a reversing camera yet, but wiring shouldn't be a problem as well labeled on the optimised harness for the unit. Steering wheel controls work extremely well with the unit. It took me about 30 minutes to install. Been playing with it for a couple of days trying to install apps that enhance the experience. Sound quality is good. Equaliser is good. Also it handles Amazon music very well.A couple of negatives the screen can be bit bright when driving at night. You can buy a fogged screen protector that can reduce the brightness a bit. The other thing is sometimes the unit is sometimes slow to respond especially using Google services, I think this is more down to it's limitations with WiFi hotspot, using your phone as a hotspot. I'm thinking of getting a dedicated WiFi modem and see if that improves the experience. I have bought a usb splitter but haven't used it yet

Lovely looking product with some great features. Love how you don’t need any further wiring etc to make the steering wheel controls work. Fitting is a doddle and took me less than 30 mins from start to finish. My only criticism is it is quite slow, it is really reliable but sometimes just takes a bit longer than expected - especially in comparison with phones or tablets. I would recommend this head unit but just bear in mind that it isn’t lighting fast. If you’re patient you will love it.

Really easy to fit looks brilliant easy to use but wouldnt bother buying the dab additional if you use the sat nav at the same time it's very slow system is slow booting up but once going had great sound and really good value for money seller was approachable and answered questions when needed package arrived earlier than expected would recommend just at 99% perfect

Installed very easy in Ford Focus CC 08 Plate. Plug and play, a few minutes to set up the steering wheel controls and that's it. Navigation found all the sats, radio tuned in better than the original radio. Mic could be a little clearer as sometimes the other caller cannot hear parts I assume to the noise cancelling with the roof down. Other than that seems a very well made unit, far more expensive than it actually is. I was worried about it being slow, but after a 5 second first start from cold, it stays instant on after, so if you stop and start a few minutes later it's on in seconds. Glad I went with the x-trons.
