I rarely come back to Amazon to review a purchase. However, from the unboxing, to wearing it this watch has exceeded all expectations. If you don’t want to hand over $4k and up for a BB or sub this is a great alternative and elegant vintage homage. I researched this a lot, the quality In materials compared to the price you pay almost seems like sorcery. I’ve purchased 3 watches recently and this one has come to rival my favorite purchase of all time. From the finish in the case brushing, to the perfectly flat dome crystal (a flaw I’ve found common in Chinese manufactured watches), to not even a scratch or spec of dust on the dial/hands. The lume is fantastic and the bezel has no play when turning. You honestly feel like you have a Swiss time piece on your wrist and boy is it an eye grabber. I’ve heard many gripes about the bracelet. I’m not a huge fan of the pins sticking out from the bracelet, however it is a quality steel bracelet with no imperfections, it just comes down to taste. I have a larger wrist, so fitment was good for me, but I can see how it would be difficult to adjust for a smaller wrist. I ordered a leather strap anyway to really give it that vintage pop. My only suggestion to Thorn would be to put a Miyota 9015 in it. I would rather see a high beat for a smoother sweep and that would truly set this off. Not a complaint, I do love the NH35 as a solid work horse, but most enthusiasts would be willing to pay the extra $50 for a smoother sweep. Honestly, buy it. This watch is easily the best sub $200 watch in this category that I’ve purchased or seen, and I foresee it blowing up in the watch world.

I had searched for a while to find a BB58 homage watch to add to my collection. I didn't want to spend a lot on something that might see one or 2 days a week wearing time. I was immediately blown away by the look and quality of the watch. The band is junk,so you will want to upgrade that for sure. But my elation was soon deflated when I set the time and observed the watch gaining almost 2 hours overnight. Something was very wrong with this movement (NH35). After some research I decided to try to demagnetize the watch. After a few passes on the demagnitizer it is running well.within specs and hasn't lost or gained a second in over an hour. I know that will probably change a small bit over the next day or so of wear,but I can live with this watch being within standard specs. So just be aware that these watches may be magnetized upon delivery.

I love this watch. I’ve had it a few months now and am very impressed by the build quality and reliability of the watch (about 3 sec off a day). I’ve had multiple watch enthusiasts mistake this watch as the original Tudor. I was between this watch and the San Martin version and ultimately chose this one based on price and the “thorn” vs “San Martin” logo. I’ve heard great things about the San Martin as well, but it was hard to justify the extra cost for minimal quality upgrades imo. It’s not a Tudor, but for watch enthusiast or non enthusiast that’s looking for a submariner dive style watch alternative, this is a great option. I got my on sale too which was an added bonus, paying full price though I think would still be worth it. It wears very well in any occasion based on the coloring and design. the one area for improvement would be the quick release spring bars on the bracelet and quick micro adjustment, if they could add that at this price point I’d be very impressed.UPDATE 8 months later- the watch still works great and I took it in the ocean for the first time with some reservations. I put a hook and loop strap on it and it was a champ. Not sure why I expected a diver in this price point to NOT be waterproof/resistant, but I’ve had no problems with leakage. I just made sure to screw down the crown nice and tight score getting in the water.

Very accurate time piece But smaller than expected

I have been eyeing this for a while. First impressions bracelet is a bit of a pain to size, but with patience and the right tools it can be done. If not a jeweler can remove them easily. I plan to keep this on the bracelet and the quality feels good. Moving on to the dial, its incredible! The level of detail that has gone in is impressive. The finish is gorgeous. Looks super high end. I compared it to my Omega and was shocked at how good it looked! The lume is exceptional. What you get for the price cannot be beat. Buy it you wont be disappointed.

I am in love with this black bay homage. The domed sapphire and the quality of the case, dial, and bezel are amazing. The lume is not going to match the real deal but it's very good and actually usable unlike pagani pd1644 (also a great watch for the money).Here's where it gets bad. And honestly I almost made this a 0 star review of this because it made me kind of mad. The band that comes with this watch is beautiful but it's useless to me. Push pins would have been a much better choice than double sided screws. I've never had so much trouble adjusting a band. I have a very small wrist so I have to take out three to four links on average, three on this watch. I ended up giving up and I ordered another band. Sure I could have just taken it to a jeweler but I didn't really want to make someone else deal with this nonsense. If anyone at the factory is reading this, please for the love of God change the way you're attaching the links in this band, it makes me so mad that i have to waste it so i can use this watch.The good: it looks amazing even with a Timex strap on it. I would buy it again knowing I have to replace the band, but I would NOT pay more than what I did with that knowledge in mind.UPDATE: don't bother buying another metal band, it won't fit. The endlinks are just a little off from a modern Rolex style and the springbars wont seat. You're stuck with the stock band or using a strap.
