VOLVO S60 V70 S80 XC70 XC90 4 Button Remote Key Fob Case

Purchased to replace our original Volvo fob case for our V70 2003 estate. The original fob was playing up when trying to open or close the car, it eventually worked after several operations. Not wanting to purchase a totally new remote from Volvo at £200+, it was really worth giving this Guy a try. It arrived in a poly bag and inside the bag there is a tiny crosshead screw which locks the 2 halves of the fob together, look out for this screw and do not loose it. This fob case does not come with either a battery or the internal electronics, so you will need to swop them over to the new fob case. The original Volvo fob requires a torx driver to take it apart but once opened, and the new fob case placed next to it, the battery and it's retaining clip/contact is easily fitted and so is the electronics circuit board. Both halves then fit together and are held in place by screwing that tiny screw into the lower case. No instructions are included with the replacement fob, but it really is self explanatory and easy.The quality of this replacement fob is up to the original Volvo standard, but does not have the Volvo logo on the back of it. For us this new fob works first time, every time now. So our local Volvo dealer quoted us £27.00 for a new fob case inc fitting, but for us for less than £6.00 and 5 mins this replacement fob is totally totally recommended by us.
