Q: Does this work in Hong Kong?

No this does not work in Hong Kong, do you have to get chartreuse screen there.

Q: Are you able to move around on the backdrops? For instance, filming a fitness exercise.

The backdrop is a fabric therefore gives some folding look and has to be ironed multiple times. The stands are frail and falls a lot. I lost all the original bulb real fast. I stopped using it altogether.

yeah its adjustable and gets as small as about 36" - I have it at about 9.5' right now.

Q: Does anyone know how to close the umbrella?

There is a metal clasps that you push in, right at the end of the white plastic part of the umbrella.
