I love this dvd because I enjoy watching anything about ships sailing the open season. I was happy to find this dvd with grest actors I amare this film so much that was made in the 70s

What THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE SPECIAL EDITION DVD does come with is two DVDs and plenty of extras!The Irwin Allen movie itself is an exciting adventure and features an all-star cast as they try and work their way from the top of the ship to the bottom, after it gets knocked over by a huge tidal wave on New Year's Eve, and is floating upside down. This movie is credited to starting the "disaster" genre and it really is amazing to watch considering the limitations of special effects during that time. There is not a moment where the viewer does not believe that these people are in fact on a ship and that it is under water. Tense movie, with a lot of great actors of the time, emotional at times, it hooks you in and makes you want to watch it.

Saw this movie when it was in its first run in theaters. Great movie. Hasn't lost anything in all the times over all the years I've watched it since.

This CD set not only has the movie, but another CD full of bonus info, such as backstory: the making of the movie with input from the producer, director and several actors on the Poseidon Adventure. Well worth purchasing!
