Certainly a classic … UPDATED
Update - after having this pen for several months, it’s now the only pen I use, all the time. The ability to write smoothly on all surfaces has come in handy, and just the overall economics have now proven to be preferable to those of the usual plastic pens out there. Highly recommended.Yes, it’s a nicely made pen, but the supplied refill writes terribly. Excessive rolling resistance, and of course, the constant clicking as you pick the pen up at the end of strokes since the refill tip doesn’t precisely fill the tip of the metal pen barrel. Far less expensive modern pens work far better in terms of smoothness and satisfaction with the writing experience. Two examples are the Uni jetstream RT and the Pentel energel RTX. No, they don’t have the classic metal barrel and timeless look, but what matters is they work far better as writing instruments. This is of course a little shortsighted, if you routinely have to write underwater or you spend most of your time in space, or writing on the ceiling……. I hate to dump on a classic pen, and perhaps the normal everyday writing experience could be drastically improved with a higher quality refill, but the price is already excessive as is.

Excellent for a chemical plant
I work 12-hour shifts at a chemical plant that processes industrial waste into fuel. This pen withstands all of the chemical abuse (acids, bases, organics, waters, liquids, solids, and any combo) that you can throw at it. It can write over grease, sludge, you name it, on labels, cardboard and the finer tasks as well. If it can be written on, this pen will do it. I have not had a situation where this pen corroded or failed to write in years. They're expensive, but they're worth it. When it's covered in sludge, I wipe it off with an acetone-covered paper towel and its as good as new.

Awesome pen!
Love the cerakote coating. Good weight distribution, click cap is as good as always. Ink cartridge superb as always. Thank you to Fisher for another great pen!

It works.
Gave as a gift for someone complaining about writing on a wall calendar. She said they work as advertised.

Not Quality
I bought this pen because I had enjoyed writing with my bullet fisher space pen so much. Some background, I am part of an engineering team and I personally perform a lot of testing and need a pen at the ready to write down results and observations. My bullet space pen needs the cap removed so it can write and that is the reason why I decided to buy this click pen.Now for the reviewThe cerakote finish leaves a chalky like feeling on my hands each time I write with this pen. I know this feature is suppose to help the user grip the pen better but it has the opposite effect for me. The pen also comes equipped with a spring that does not secure the cartridge firmly when I write which causes the pen to rattle. I had this same problem on the bullet but I added my own spring and that fixed the problem, here on this click pen you cannot easily modify it to have a better spring. The looseness that comes from a weak spring in the cap also causes my hand to click the pen when I am writing and that causes noise and is annoying because I can by accident retract the point. If you are looking to buy this pen I hope you look at other models offered by Fisher first. There are better pens out there than this model. If Fisher is listening then they should in my opinion make the coating more aggressive so it actually is easier to grip, give the pen a better spring so that it can hold the cartridge in place or at least allow the design to be easily fixed like the bullet by adding an additional spring. Add a higher tension spring to the cap so that it maintains the cap firmly in place when writing. I was very disappointed by this pen because it is worth more than the bullet but performs worse.
