I used to heat my cup of water in the microwave, but this works so much better! It heats the water nice and hot in a very short amount of time and automatically shuts itself off, and it looks great!

It works beautifully. So glad I bought this. I drink a lot of green tea and it has the correct temperature setting for this tea. I steep the tea for 2 minutes and I have yet to taste bitterness. When the water temperature is reached, it turns off automatically unless you hit the keep warm button. We use purified water as there are minerals in our tap water that could build up and wreck the unit over time. The kettle is great, and I love the pour spout. It is very easy to use.

This thing is amazing. It heats faster than any kettle I've ever encountered, doesn't take up too much counter space because it's smaller size. I love that the various temperatures or labeled for the different types of tea and the keep warm function is a life saver. It's lightweight, intuitive, and I appreciate that it beeps (not obnoxiously though, just once) when it's done. Definitely worth the money. Changed our morning lives for the better.

Like: Attractive, quickly heats water, easy to direct water on pour over coffee, heating base stays cool on my granite counter top, and base of the kettle remains cool when I move it to table.Dislike: Extremely difficult to see the water level measurement on the kettle, inability to set the water temp to a specific level, (although that is expected at this great price point).Overall I am happy with this purchase.

If you’re looking for a basic “barista style” gooseneck pour-over kettle, this will do nicely.Pro: Fast. Water for two avg. size mugs (2 cup capacity) with room for milk reaches full boil in about a minute and a half and automatic shutoff at about three minutes and a half. You can begin pouring anytime during that window in my experience. Lined with stainless steel. Black and silver finish blends beautifully with our black granite countertops and the other black appliances. While heating there’s a nice blue LED that lights up on the lever. Nice touch.Con: Outside of kettle is not insulated so it does get hot. You have to train yourself to only use the handle which is durable plastic and does not heat up, but which also feels good solid and balanced in your pouring hand.Totally worth it for the price. Great little kettle that gets the job done fast and looks good doing it.Note: I only use it for boiling water, so cleaning isn’t much of an issue for me. It does have an inside rod along one edge, which does the heating, which would require you to get a behind it with a sponge I guess. (See photo)

Looks good, seems well built, boils quickly, pours well. There isn’t much to say beyond this. I like that it’s got a quirky old fashioned look as well. But really it’s just a well designed product that shoes the job of boiling water well.

This kettle is the best one I have ever had the pleasure of buying. Its size makes it perfect for brewing several cups of tea. There's no leakage, like none at all. The auto off once the water boils is incredibly smart, as that really is a great safety feature. It heats up quick, less than a minute quick. It's very quiet as well, which means I can use it late at night to make ramen and it won't bother anyone. The filter was made with ease of use and function in mind, as the filter stops any gunk from getting in your drink or food while also being really easy to clean!The only downside is an aesthetic one, and that is the silver bottom will eventually start chipping away. Doesn't affect the use of the product though.

Edit: I absolutely loved this kettle when we got it and have unfortunately recommended it to friends; I've only had it for 8 month (bought July 2024). When I used it last night it started smelling like hot plastic around the base. When we tested it this morning it again had a melting plastic smell, and didn't automatically shut off until it was at a very hard rolling boil for much longer than usual, and didn't shut off right away at boiling point. It has never boiled that hard or for that long. Now I am afraid to use it and would give it 0 stars if I could.Original post:This Chefman 1.2 L kettle really heats fast, shuts off as soon as the water boils, looks nice and the blue light that stays on while it heats looks neat; it's handy that you can see that the water has reached the boiling point. The carafe is sturdy and heavy but the heating element base and the on/off switch are little light weight, I hope they hold up. It's much faster and nicer looking than my last kettle. So far I'm happy with it. :)
