Great Radio! Highly recommended!
I’ve only Had it for a couple of days. It’s a Very Nice Radio! The antenna that comes with it has a High VSWR that I’m not comfortable with!I always put New Antennas on my Radios. It has a really bright and easy to read Full Color Display. Easily scan Weather Frequencies and FM Radio Stations.I’m Using a Retevis RHD-771 Antenna on it. VSWR is Almost perfect. The Audio is Loud,Crisp, and Clear. It’s Easy to operate and understand the controls. Very High Quality Radio Feels Sturdy & Well Constructed!I haven’t had it long enough to try everything out yet. I’ll update as soon as I’ve tried the Bluetooth programming. l love it!I Definitely Recommend Them.Update: It is Very Easy to Program Via Bluetooth on My IPhone!I Also Ordered The Tidradio Bluetooth Programer for my other GMRS Radios.

Almost impossible to program
I consider myself a pretty text savvy person. Ham radio technician, I program radios with radio plugs, scanners for police and fire, radio, everything… This was honestly one of the most annoying radios I’ve ever dealt with. Very broad instructions on how to program it made this very difficult.I didn’t have it for more than 24 hours before it was back in the box going back to Amazon. A waste of time, thank God I’m getting a refund for it. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Works great
I bought one of these and it would not keep the memory and would revert back to Chinese when powered off, customer service sent me a new replacement and it works as expected. It’s clear and easily reached my repeater. This is a wonderful addition to our radio collection. I would buy more of these. I totally understand one offs but the great customer service is what got me!

Easy to use
I bought this gmrs radio primarily for its bluetooth programming ability. There's no need to keep a programming cable, computer, or bluetooth adaptor which needs to be charged. Just the phone and the radio. Radio can be reprogrammed and updated on the go through odmaster app.The screen is easy to read.Antenna was just okay with acceptable swr, upgraded to better though.Power output is just shy of 5w.Radio has a solid hefty feel when compared to other cheap radios such as uv5r.It is thicker and bulkier than uv5r of course. Not too crazy about the flap-latch. External latch makes me think of what might happen if it breaks.Biggest con to this radio is the availability of batteries imo. There are no backup batteries that I can find. And no car charger. Here is where the uv5r type radios rise to the top.

Wonky programming.
The radio functions fine. Has enough power and on par with radios in it's price range. The Bluetooth programming seems more.gimmick than practical. I'd rather use PC software and.it would be faster. The main problem is the radio seems not to holdProgram function like out out levels or tones. Some days it working right others it does what it wantBeing able to quickly adjust one or two channels is nice, but for the same price there are more solid radios that I would trust more in an emergency. The simpler Tid $30 GMRS radios have been great and for me more.functional. this is definitely not for a novice user that just wants basic ptt function. Perhaps the software will improve but I would spend my $60.on something else.

Looks and feels nice but not useable
Look and feel of the radio is really nice for the price. When it initially came on the market, some operator reported that the microphone sensitivity was weak and initially transmitted it at 10 W on high power however, was not fcc approved. I saw reviews that tidradio took it off the Amazon market most likely to make these corrections. Now once again, release the units transmit at 5 W on high power and mic sensitivity seems ok However, they indicated that they included a new and improved design on the antenna. The antennas on the units I received are hardly that. SWR readings are high and compared to the Nagoya 701G they can only transmit less than half the distance. I contacted Radio and they said that their product division is working on getting the improved antenna and will send me the antennas once they are released. I will update my review once I receive them. Again, they are nice units, but until they get a better antenna design, take note that you’ll need to spend an additional $20-$30 for a better antenna.

Tedious to program.
The BT function to program this radio is an awesome idea. The actual process of doing it requires patience and time. In my opinion this was a great thought without very much testing or developement. Doing one frequency set at a time is painstakingly slow, tedious and combersom.
