Apply tire shine with one swipe. The sponge does break down over time however I expected that. Still get months of use. Easy to hold.

I like these more than I thought I would. After reading some reviews before purchasing, I thought they were going to fall apart and get torn up too easy. This is not the case at all. People need to realize that your tire shine product is also lubrication, which if the right amount is there, you won't tear up the foam pad. Once the product is gone, or very minimal, the foam will drag against the tire causing tears in the foam. This is easy to avoid. Another thing I saw was people saying they were separating between the two foam pieces. I believe this is from the tire shine product used. Petroleum, silicone & solvent based products can break down adhesives as well as other damage to your tires & trim pieces. I use water based products only and have no issues like this. I use one of these foam pads for four detail washings, then discard it. It is possible to still use them, I just choose to go to a new pad. I figure at a buck a piece (I bought 12pcs for $12) why not? A great bang for the buck. The outer sharper edges get perfectly between my rim & tire and the arch of the pad works really well on both of my truck & SUV. If the price stays the same, I'll continue to buy these. Heck of a bargain in my opinion. I highly recommend them.

They worked ok. After the first use there was significant wear on the pad. For the price they are ok, just wish the foam was a little sturdier.

6 pads for $6 is a no brainer. You can't go wrong with these tire shine pads. I love the shape of these types of pads since you can really get in there close to your tire bead/rim lip.And so far one pad has lasted me shining all four tires four times each and the pad is still holding up very well. Yes, some material is flaking off but ALL tire shine pads do that. And if you're living in the real world you can't expect tire shine pads to last forever.Plus it depends a lot on your technique of shining your tires. If you're aggressive of course your pad is gonna take a beating and not last, but if you're gentle you can extend the life of any pad.
