Q: What is the little thumbs up thing for that came with my package?

Hi There, It's actually a holder for the can lid, you can stick the little thumb on the wall or any surface, wait for 24 hours and put the can lid on it. Other than that, it can be used as a wire collector for your cellphone charger wire. It's a small fun gift from us Meow&Woof

the hand is where you hold it from, you use the flat side to scrape the food from the can

Q: I understand the concept, but the spatula part is too weak to slide under tab. It needs to be thinner and stronger?

Hi There, We do have made many tests for this pet can spatula, and currently it works for our cans easily. Could you please contact us on Amazon Message and send us picture about this issue? We want to work this problem out. And for your question, the edge of the spoon, especially the point edge should be thin enough to slide under the tab. If it's too soft to level up, maybe try the other side. There is inner bone supporting the whole spatula, it's soft on the edge but tough inside.
