Great little product. Worked perfectly.

When I bought my house, I was pleased to see that it already had recessed downlighting both the kitchen and the room we would later turn into the utility room. Unfortunately the condition of that lighting wasn’t the best. I’ve had to buy replacement glass for some of the under-counter lights, and the GU5.3 lights in the utility room had one retaining spring between six lights!!Not ideal!I did think I was going to have to replace all of them, at no small cost. Thankfully though, a bit of googling showed me that I was able to buy these retaining rings – which fit perfectly.Unlike the ones in the picture, mine are a 2-dimensional ring only. That is, there is no flicked up end on the end of the wire, so therefore getting them back out might be tricky.Getting them in was easy though. The kinks in the rings means that they have a lot of give in them, a lot of spring tension, and they hold on to, and retain the bulb very well.They arrived in the standard mail just a few days after ordering them, and they were significantly cheaper than other similar items I found.So, not exactly as described, but they do the job all the same.

Arrived quickly and do the job, though the wire is a thinner gauge than on the originals I was replacing. As has been pointed out by at least one other reviewer the are not as pictured and have no 90 degree flick to the ends which would make them more difficult to remove. I have bent them to match the originals so hopefully will not have any problems

If you have down lights and you loose a clip you are sort of stuffed. For a while I though I was going to have to replace the whole ceiling light unit. Found these and job done. Excellent! If you have ceiling lights, buy these even if you aren't missing any...... yet!
