Q: Can this be used on the outside of a steel security screen

I use it inside a commercial glass door and don’t think it is meant to be used outside.

Q: What is the actual width of this item? Will it cover large door gaps?

My door is 34 inches long is should cover the gaps mine are. Just make sure you follow the instructions.

Q: Is this also soundproof like the 2 pack one?

It is not sound proof or wind proof. The adhesive doesn’t stick and even if you screwed it on it is very flimsy.
