Hot Plate
I give this 4.25 stars with a caveat: ⚠️ First - be careful of the surface you use this on, and don't use for extended periods of time. It gets hot on the bottom as well as the main burner on top. This is the second coffee warmer I have purchased - the first was a disappointment, so I was hesitant to try another. After reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I've only had it a few weeks, but so far I'm very satisfied with how it keeps my beverage heated. I was microwaving my coffee 3-4 x's until I could finish the cup, but this keeps it at my preferred drinking temperature as long as needed. There are 3 temperature settings available. A simple touch turns it on, adjusts temperature, and turns it off. ⚠️ If you leave it plugged in while not in use this can be a safety hazard. A second button allows you to put it on a timer in increments of 2 hours - from 2 up to 12 hours. Due to how hot the plate is on the bottom, I wouldn't recommend using longer times, or even not monitoring while in use.The cord is just long enough to stretch across my desk to the outlet on the side - I wish it was six inches longer.Overall, I'm satisfied with how well this fulfills the purpose it's intended for.

Great mug warmer; too hot?
Works great. Feels a bit cheap, but no complaints yet, no "BAD" ones anyway.Really my only real complaint is that the lowest setting doesn't go low enough, the whole thing seems really overpowered, like it says "135F" is the lowest in the description, but when running it on the lowest setting without a mug and using an infrared thermometer, it was 130-140 Celsius, not Fahrenheit. This thing hasn't exploded or caught fire yet, so I assume maybe the description was just translated wrong?I haven't tested boiling water with this yet like I did with a mug warmer I had some years ago, but I'd be willing to bet that at max temp with a flat-bottom metal cup, you could absolutely boil water with this.It being a lot hotter than it honestly should be is nice for a lot of reasons, but has two drawbacks:1. Too dang hot for coffee. Even at the lowest setting, if you have milk/creamer in your coffee, it'll actually COOK the proteins in the milk and turn it into that kind of "skin" at the top of the coffee. My ceramic mug stays a nice temperature for black coffee though.2. Obvious boiling water risk. Imagine leaving this out with some water for tea and forgetting as it boils over and spills on you, your pet, your desk, your computer. Maybe it even shorts out and starts a fire? I dunno, just being hypothetical, never know with people.

Cup warmer
This is a great cup warmer. I got it for my mother, she really likes it. Unfortunately she has very low vision so it’s a bit difficult to for her to make temperature selections-but she’s managing

Goodbye microwave!
Because my mornings are usually a mixed bag of juggling bowling balls and blow torches I seldom get to just sit and savor the flavor of my Java juice and end up making an average of three trips to the microwave to bring the temp back up. This little warming plate made that last year’s dance. The little floppy silicon plate cover also happens to sit nicely on top of my cup when I’m whirling about the house or yard and helps keep the contents warmer longer as well. When I’m done with coffee it goes back to its appointed role as cover for the warming plate.I like my coffee hot, probably hotter than most people. If you want your coffee to be rip your lips hot then this probably isn’t the one you want. This is a ‘warmer’ and does a great job of keeping the coffee near the brewing temp for much longer than normal, especially if you use the tips below:Tips- Using a flat bottom earthenware or glazed mug helps.Using the silicon pad as a cover helps.A wider based shorter mug is easier to keep warm than a skinny tall mug.—Overall I couldn’t be more pleased with this reasonably priced easy to use warmer—Update: Still enjoying this little unit but did make a modification (see photo) to make it safer. The ON button is touch sensitive and can be easily activated by either a pet or just accidental sweeping across the face of the unit. I cleaned up and using an household glue, attached a standard water hose washer as a guard for that button. Now I don’t have to worry about it accidentally warming up things it shouldn’t.
