Masquepen - Masking Fluid

The small tip is great for writing with or small details. However the fluid when dry is not easy to remove without peeling some of the paper. Not a problem I have had before with other masking fluid but this is only one I can see with the narrow tip. Will try to source another brand next time.

Good tool for making spots, but it's a bit inconsistent when drawing lines. It also has a tendency to form bubbles on the tip which then pop all over your paper when you go to use it.

This requires great care in use and storage but it works really well. Just be gentle with it. I find that when dried on the paper it can be easily lifted off with the aid of a eraser designed for removing ink.

I've used masking fluid before but with a brush. I thought this one would be such an improvement,but it blobbed onto my painting which wasn't the best thing that could happen. I tried to apply it tilting it slightly and that was better. Then I came to remove it, i did it with a eraser very gently but it pulled a lump off the water colour paper. I tried again and it did the same thing I was fuming as I'd painted the picture and this was the final touches. Not a happy customer.

it would be better if the nib on this masking pen was made of steel and not plastic as mine has broken after a few days of use.

it does what supposed to do, blanking out so you are able to paint straight over things but it was harder to remove than i remeber. But i1m older now and my hands are shaky.

Was a lot runnier than I expected and therefore bled into areas I didn't want it to:( will stick to a different brand going forward.

This works absolutely fine - just be careful putting the lid back on and be prudent when lending it to others.
