A high quality little ROV
The media could not be loaded. First, I don’t know how these ROVs don’t have more reviews. I think they are super cool. I love the idea of being able to explore the bottoms of oceans and lakes. I was originally looking at another brand, the FiFish, but ended up purchasing this ROV. It’s more affordable and includes accessories the other charges significantly more for. This one comes with a slick, quality backpack that everything fits neatly into. It includes the claw, extra parts, a sun shield for your phone, and even a 64GB memory card. The battery, for me, lasts about 1h 45min of continuous use. I expected it to be longer, but it has been long enough for my use. I usually go to a local pond, pop out a folding chair, toss the ROV in the water and start exploring. I’ve had it to just 20 feet deep. I believe it’s rated for a little over 300 feet. This was an expensive purchase for me, but something I’ve wanted for over a year. I love it and I am very satisfied. The water you use it in needs to be somewhat clear. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but the more visibility the better. I’ve been unable to use it in many lakes and reservoirs due to a lack of visibility. If you can see a few feet into the water you’re planning to use it in, that should be good enough. The photos you see above were from a pond in Ohio, hardly tropical or pristine. The ROV can handle some moss, but thick seaweed will have you manually pulling it back in by the tether. The charging setup is perfect. One charger has two cables that charge the ROV and remote at the same time. Super easy.I have had no issues connecting my phone to the ROV using the included cable (several cable options are included). It takes around 20 seconds to connect once the ROV has given its “I’m turned on” beeps. There are a few bugs with the app that can be annoying, but not unusable by any measure. The app seems to get regular updates.I can tell that a lot of thought was put into this ROV, the accessories, and the bag. I’m very please with my purchase and I’d buy it again.

Faulty product and no service response
Remote and ROV would not link up when attaching the tether and would not beep as indicated in instructions. No way to call manufacturer so I emailed twice and got no response. Returned item to Amazon.

Fun
Third use in freshwater, rear port thruster stopped working while the unit was in the water. Support supplied a replacement unit.Fun and easy to use.

So easy to use for work and play.
I live on my boat in cold water so being able to view the bottom of the boat is a necessity. Having a diver go down and inspect the hull is expensive. My new Gladius Mini S should pay for itself in about a year. It's also nice to extend the favor to my fellow boaters in the marina. The 4K video and high quality stills are invaluable for assessing the status of a vessel. It's also fun to view the wildlife that live in the area.I've only had the Mini S in the water 3 times but I am getting better at controlling the drone. After calibration of the compass, locating the Mini S when it is out of sight is becoming much easier. I am very happy with the telemetry displayed between the drone and the viewer. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S23 and am having no problems at all with the connection to the application. I use a USB C adapter to download the images as soon as my cleaning and drying process is complete. I use an Intex "kiddy" pool with freshwater to flush and clean my Mini S. I have the water running through the pool and operate the Mini S for about 10 minutes after every dive.I had been waiting almost 2 years before deciding on the Mini S. I'm very please with its performance so far.

Stopped working after 2 days
It worked well until I took it out the second time. The remote lost connection to the ROV. Charging didn't help. Note it's just dead. It has lots of potential but reliability is a real problem. At that price I would have expected it to be as reliable as a dji. I could return it now but I'm going to see how customer support manages this issue first. I'll update my review then since I really think it would be great if it was more reliable.

The most fun I've had without getting wet
So easy to use, it's almost ridiculous, it's like flying a drone underwater. Well, that's exactly what it is. The claw attachment is difficult to figure out, but I have recovered treasures with it. Most notably an apple watch. If you've ever wondered what's under the water, but can't swim very deep, this is money well spent.

If you use it in saltwater, it fails.
We used it in saltwater, even with meticulous cleaning after each use when left to sit for any amount of time the motors all seize up. They really are inadequate for use in saltwater. Quite disappointed. We have two of them. Used them maybe a dozen times before all the motors failed and the item is now a very expensive paper weight. I'll be buying a more expensive, but hopefully better made United States product next time.
