Partially defective?
This review was written 12 days after receiving the product.I have tried a variety of pro controllers for the Nintendo Switch over the past three years, especially the ones that light up. I recently found this one, whilst it being new at the time of purchase. I have used it almost daily (mainly for Splatoon 3 with motion controls), and these are my views about the product:Pros:- Unique crack design with gradient lights/changing colours- Lightweight- Reasonable value for money as a 3rd party controller that lights up in different waysDecent:- Quite a bit of travel with the buttons and sticks in comparison to other pro controllers and joy cons, but is bearable, and can get used to it after several play sessions.- There's a bit of noise with all the buttons, but is no big deal.- The controller goes to sleep if untouched for 5 minutes (most likely to save battery). Luckily, it reconnects with ease (at least from my experience).Cons:- Splatoon 3 exclusive: The motion controls and analog sticks can be unresponsive at times. More specifically, the input lag, where gameplay feels rough (and may cause the controller to do its own thing), especially during an online match. In other games without motion controls, the sticks function just fine.- Whilst rotating the sticks during the calibration setting, it was a little rough with some sort of judder.Overall: Nice and colourful looking product with the changing lights setting. The quality is still acceptable to use for most games. Hope the rest of you are not as unlucky like me when it comes to testing on motion control based games.

Great and simple to use.
Does exactly what it says on the tin, we use it as an extra control for the switch and it's great. Would definitely buy again.

Different
This is unusual in that the finish is textured in a craquelure style and for me that is the nicest part about it. It is also lightweight. When held it is very comfortable. The feel of the control differs from the one I was using in that the pressure required is sometimes different and the + (Map) and - (Equipment) buttons are all small and round, as I have shown in the image. The colour changing effect is really just a gimmick. I don't look at the controls when I'm using them anyway. The ability to turn them off might make a difference to the power but I suspect not much.Connecting it was not helped by the fact that I had mislaid the instructions, thankfully I found them although it didn't seem difficult.I have only used it with my Nintendo Switch and see no reason to use it with another device although I might try it with my tablet although some say it's tricky.Nobody else has commented but I did not find there was much if any vibration. I tried it with BOTW and approaching a new shrine didn't start the vibration.I like it, but for me it will remain a spare. I'm not a heavy-duty gamer anyway. I don't have the time! 😉

My children really like the look and the feel of this controller. It does the job it is supposed to do and is comfortable in the hand.Would recommend.

Interesting controller
I think this is an interesting and unique looking controller.Firstly from an ergonomics perspective, I found the controller to be very comfortable to use. The back of the controller has a slight texture which helps with grip, and the crackle effect on the top creates a texture that adds to grip too. I found the control layout comfortable, although the button presses seemed a little heavy compared to what I am used to with other controllers. I like the cross style direction pad because it makes accidental diagonals less likely. The autofire is an interesting option too, where it can be toggled rather than being active when the button is held down. The analogue sticks seem accurate and smooth, unless you need to circle with them at the maximum angle, where the texture of the controller rubs against the analogue stick storks. The LED illumination is a bit patchy, but other than aesthetics, it makes no difference to the operation of the pad. However, although I could change the colours and settings, an option to turn the lighting off would help save a little power. With regards to connectivity, I couldn't get the controller to work with my android phone. I had some issues with windows PC connectivity, where for some reason it changed modes several times between several controller types, and refused to work with some games, and then worked normally when it was tried at a different time. I am not quite sure why I had the issues, and I was hoping for some instructions to reset the controller but there was nothing I could find in the manual or online. I did end up removing and reinstalling the controller driver and rebooting, and that seemed to resolve the issues I had with using the controller with Windows.Overall, I think this is a great feeling controller to use, although the experience was marred with some issues connecting to non Switch devices.
