Seems Solid
I ordered this cot so my bed would not be on the ground while camping (there was an incident a few years ago where an obnoxious nest of ants swarmed into the tent while we were out hiking and decided to crawl all over and into our sleeping bags, which was so awful I decided to never put my bed on the ground EVER AGAIN!) For the last few years I have been using a zero gravity chair, but it has huge downsides as the arms are obnoxious when you try to sleep on your side and over time the elastic stretched enough to put me down onto the very uncomfortable metal frame.I looked far and wide for an affordable and comfortable cot and finally came across this type when a friend purchased a similar one. I have tried 3 other types of cots and here are the pros and cons of this one:PRO:It is about 20 inches off the ground, so the ants and other bugs in the tent can’t really get into your bedding without a lot of work (never entice them by leaving food on the bed!!)It is extremely comfortable- even without the enclosed mattresses there are no bars digging into your back and you are on a smooth surface. It only weighs about the same as a camping chair and only takes up slightly more room in the trunk of the car. It’s extremely easy to fold down and to fold back up. Due to a nice strap that holds it together, it is easy to put it back in its bag.(the mattress doesn’t fit in the bag and is vacuum sealed separately)It is made out of a material that doesn’t soak up water if you have a spill,It is wide enough to sleep on your side and long enough to sleep on your back. This one was about HALF the price of the one my friend bought at a sporting goods store. It doesn’t creak at night when you move around.CONSI wish the head area was a little more adjustable so you could also use it as a lounge chair by day. I saw one like that, but it was twice as big to pack and 3 times as heavy, so I had to give that up!If you order this give yourself a little extra time for it to come. It doesn’t come out of the Amazon Warehouse apparently. I gave myself too short of a time. I needed it 10 days after I ordered it (in my defense it was an 2 day Prime order)and it was sent by a different carrier so it was changed to an 11 day Delivery Estimate. Luckily it came in 8 days instead-barely came in time for a long camping trip. Anticipation of having to sleep on the ground while it sat on my front porch sent me into a panic, but it thankfully arrived 2 days before they said it would under their shipping delay. So be sure to plan ahead!I know this is nit-picky, but I wish the mattress came with a reusable carrying bag. Once you take it out of the shipping compression plastic it fluffs right up, won’t fit in with the frame part of the cot, and runs the risk of getting very dirty while you are transporting it around with the other camping equipment. So it’s best to shell out for a stuff sack, even though that means more money and waiting for a shipment. All in all I’m really glad I got this. It’s really nice to be off the ground! Take that, Ants and other creepy crawlers!!So far

Sturdy camping cot with comfortable mattress.
This camping cot did not need any set up or assembly. I pulled it out of its bag and undid the strap and it folded out pretty easily. When it was time to put it back in the bag, it folded up with just one motion, and I was able to secure the strap around the top and put it back in the bag easily. The metal legs are pretty strong and it does not feel creaky, even though it is fairly lightweight. There is a side pocket in built into the cart where you can store your phone or something you might need in the night. It is 28 inches across so it is pretty comfortable for one person, but I would still be careful about tossing and turning on this cot because one could potentially fall out. The headrest stays slightly elevated, and it is very comfortable with a pillow. I am 5’4” and I was able to stretch out nicely on this cot however for somebody taller than 5’10” it might not be as comfortable. The included mattress was pretty comfortable, it fluffed out nicely after opening the plastic bag however, there is no storage bag included for the mattress, so I put it back in its plastic bag, but it would have been nice to have a stuff sack for the mattress included. The filling in the mattress is decent and it feels pretty comfortable, however, the padding could have been thicker and I think I might bring an extra sleeping bag to put on top of the mattress when camping. For using at home I would definitely use it with a sheet and a blanket. I like the fact that the mattress has straps on each corner that can be hooked onto the cot so that it does not slide in the night. There are also two straps in the middle to tie it down, so it does not shift. This cot is really a game changer for car camping because it is about 14 inches above the ground. That makes all the difference in getting up at night especially. No longer do I have to roll off a 4 inch high air mattress onto the cold wet tarp and crawl on my knees and hands on uneven and bumpy ground to stand up in my tent. I can stand so much easily because this cot is off the ground. Going to the bathroom at night while camping will no longer be such a difficult endeavor. This is also an easy thing to bring over for sleepovers or backyard camping when the host does not have extra beds. There is also no fear of leaks like with an air mattresses. Nor do I have to bring a battery operated pump to blow up the air mattress and hope it works.I am all set for car camping with this cot and pad. The price was quite reasonable and cheaper than many others. I did find some other brands that were cheaper than this one, but there were more complaints about the frame not being as sturdy for heavier people.

Frame is nice, Pad is meh
i got this for my son who has nightmares a lot and sleeps in my room. i keep it in my closet so i can set it up for him on the fly when he wakes me up at 2am.Pros:Sturdy Metal frame with lots of support.Really easy to set up just pulls/folds open and you press on the center two support poles/feet until it is fully into position and the canvas is tight.Very light weight and easy to carry with a carrying case/coverSuper long would easily fit a tall person, my son being 10 y/o has so much foot space our Golden Retriever lays on it too with him and there is no power struggle for space between them.Cons:The pad it comes with is not as nice as it looks in the picture, it is a thin but fluffy type so it looks nice until you lay on it then its like the fluff disappears almost, but i sewed 4 pillow cases together stuffed in pillows and lay that on it for him and he loves it.it is not adjustable like some i have seen, one end is up slightly but you cant change it at all, which for us is fine he just folds up the pillow case mat i mentioned early and uses that to prop up if he is chilling on his phone.
