Like potato chips
Buying just one Munipal subway car is like eating a single potato chip… you need more than one to really make things work. They are not particularly cheap, especially where the graphics are just printed on, there is no 3D detailing (let's not even pretend to worry about overall scale!), and they are made in China. My basis for comparison is Thomas the Tank Engine, whose wooden products seem to be a lot nicer for the money. And durability? These Munipals get pretty ragged quickly when handled by small children. One special thing to note is that the numbered cars are shorter than the lettered cars (you may or may not notice this from the pictures). Yet, I can't rip them too hard, since our son loves his Munipals.
