Pristine Fluid cleaning kit (50ml). Clean & unblock printhead nozzle for Canon / HP / Kodak printer print head

Similar report to others. I'd seen the youtube clips and tried the 'simple' ways involving soaking (for a week) .... no use at all, in fact seemed to make things worse. Then tried using my own syringe methods but the cleaning fluid just went everywhere. Eventually stripped and removed the print head for a more thorough cleaning on the tabletop .... reassembled with possibly 30% success. Then ordered this kit. .... instantly impressed.Although you don't seem to get a lot for your money the separate elements are decent quality. In particular, and the key element for me, the plastic tube is a very thick walled silicone which seals really well. The syringe now works as I would expect and the heads cleared in seconds.I'd been thinking about how I get more fluid etc but have found that I've used VERY little (maybe 10% and that was more than I needed because I'd flushed more than I probably needed to). From what I can see the canon/hp/kodak kit is the same as the Epson kit except that it has more bits (plastic adapters).Very impressed. No problem in recommending. I had ordered similar kits from (2) other suppliers and they were unresponsive, unhelpful and the kits didn't arrive - thus company were excellent.

The fluid did not unfortunately work for me. However I'm not sure if it was the Pristine Fluid not working or a fault in the print head. I did extensive research on the internet when my Canon Pixma printer, which was 2 years and 1 month old i.e. just one month over it's warranty, decided to display error code MO5 or MU5 or whatever the hell it was. This was followed by the message "printhead is not correct for the printer" and it advised me to change it!! A new printhead costs significantly more than the printer! I tried everything to fix it, followed every advice I could find on the net and , as a last resort purchased the Pristine fluid. However nothing worked. I even read on some forums that the problem has nothing to do with the printhead but "cripple" ware put in the printer on purpose! Is this true? Who knows! All I know is that this error rendered my Canon Printer a useless, albeit shiney and new piece of plastic as nothing worked, not even the scanner.I finally fixed the problem by buying an new HP Photosmart Printer and binning an almost new Canon Pixma 5350 printer (hell, the cd tray thingy to print on CDs had never been opened!) Top marks to Canon for safeguarding our environment in this manner, really well done!

Used to unblock cyan ink path on Canon MG6250 print head (blockage was in the small "ink reservoir" inside the head assembly - below the ink entry port but above the print nozzles).Needed to use the "method E" in the supplied documentation (remove printhead and stand in a saucer with the cleaning fluid, then use the syringe + tubing + adapter to suck and squirt cleaning fluid back and forth through the print head to dislodge the blockage. Worked on the second attempt.But using the syringe is fiddly on this Canon print head (and probably any others that use those size cartridges (CLI-52x)); the nearest-size adapter (the smallest one) does not naturally form a tight seal on the ink port in the head/cartridge holder - it is necessary to press the tubing + adapter down firmly against the rubber sealing ring around the ink port in order to get a good seal. Could really do with three hands here - one to hold the print head still, one to hold the tubing/adapter firmly against the ink port, and one to operate the syringe! And wearing the gloves tends to obstruct the view...Printer is back in service and for less than a tenner this kit has saved me from having to fork out on a new print head. :-)

My fancy Kodak ESP 5210 all in one printer decided it would print all of nothing a few nights ago having worked perfectly for approx 2 years. It had been turned off & not used for approx 2 weeks. No matter how many times I used the maintenance options to clean the heads etc, took the cartridges out & shook them etc, paper remained completely blank. Tried new cartridiges - nothing. As a last ditch attempt before ordering a replacement printer head I ordered this nozzel cleaning kit. It took about 30 mins to remove the heads, soak them in the solution & then use the syringe to squirt & suck the cleaning fluid back & forth through the printer heads all as per the instructions. Dried the heads out, put them back in the printer & worked perfectly straight away. What a great feeling to see those colour pictures coming out of the machine again after a bit of time & effort using this kit - and a lot cheaper than a new printer head! Don't believe the clap trap about cotton buds & warm water on the net - get this kit & do it properly. Very pleased Pristine.

Pretty messy process to clean your print head and first time it did not work so I had to do it all over again, wasting yet more ink. After the 2nd clean the quality of the red ink was only marginally better. Also the fittings to force the cleaning fluid through do not fit tightly enough and so are not effective. There have to be better ways of cleaning the printhead than this.

Have tried three times to solve problem of blocked yellow ink pad without success. I think I am following the instructions properly but they are not the clearest instructions I have ever read. At the moment I could not recommend this product, however I shall continue to try, as I have no alternative but tom discard my printer and buy a new one.

Brilliant product after two treatments of Pristine Fluid and a set of new cartridges the printer was up and running again printing perfectly. The reason I had the problem in the first place was the printer had been put into storage for almost two years and the print heads had become completely blocked. Thank you for this easy to use product I still have enough left for further treatments if any of my friends printers develop problems.

J'avais une tête d'imprimante canon récalcitrante au nettoyage. Grace à ce produit j'ai enfin réussi à la nettoyer. La notice (en anglais) est très détaillée avec de multiples options pour traiter les cas difficiles. Le nettoyage de base consiste à mettre du produit sur le petit coussin qui protège la tête d'impression quand elle est au repos ce qui est assez astucieux. Les petits embouts translucides (non disponibles avec le kit Epson) connectés au tube de la seringue permettent d'injecter le produit au travers les buses et donc de les déboucher. Un bon investissement car autrement je ne pouvais plus utiliser mon stock de cartouches. Je recommande ce produit.

Produit très efficace, mon imprimante imprime de nouveau normalement alors que le noir n'apparaissait plus du tout. Le vendeur est professionnel, de très très bon conseil, se rend disponible pour vous aider et n'est pas du tout avare de son temps, bien au contraire.

Après plusieurs injections (le noir était complètement bouché), le produit s'est révélé efficace et mon imprimante fonctionne à nouveau. Produit conforme donc.

Correspond à mes attentes.
