Great product, great price and quick shipment!

09/08/2020Last update: After just 3 months this thing is basically useless and extremely frustrating. Constantly skips for 10-15 seconds at about a 2 minute cycle. By rebooting the BT connection several times, every once and awhile it will play correctly, but most times not. Cannot recommend this product!Update: after about 2 weeks of use it now skips a lot. I have to shut it off and reconnect several times before the bluetooth connection is stable enough to listen to music. Again, I have no idea if this is a problem with them all or just this one.Original reviee: bought this to try on my boat stereo. The last gasp before I put in a new blue tooth stereo. I was dubious, but for 12 bucks I decided to give it a try. I pluged it in to the USB port and turned on bluetooth on my Samsung S8. Low and behold, there it was. It did take 2 tries to get it to connect, but once it did it now connects immediately. Sound quality is good but it does seem to "skip" every once in awhile. My phone is only about 2 ft. from the unit but sometimes it skips or jumps during play. I don't know if it is an inherent issue with the device or if something is wrong with the one that I have. But I've only used it 3 times so I'll give it awhile to settle in, but it isn't a dealbreaker. $12 vs $500 for a new marine stereo, I'll give it some slack!

I have a nice old set of Klipsch desktop speakers with RCA line inputs, which previously I had wired to an RCA-to-3.5mm jack, which would then plug into an old Android tablet to play music. The old android tablet finally went to the dev/null bucket in the sky, and there's almost nothing left that uses a 3.5mm audio output.Enter this little doohickey -- I already had a few Anker AC-powered cubes which provide two port USB for power, so I grabbed one and stuffed it into my switched AC outlet plugstrip (same one the speakers themselves are powered by.) So now when I hit the switch in my garage to activate all my lights and speakers and whatnot, this dude powers up and connects to my phone so I can pipe in some tunes.My overall rating is five stars, I did dock a single star for sound quality because there is a slight but noticeable degradation in the overall quality of the output vs using the oldschool analog connection. It really only manifests in certain types of music and even then only in a few demanding tracks. The good news is, for actual garage use, I'll really never notice because the garage is typically noisy for all manner of other reasons. And really, if you're wanting pure sound quality, why are you on a cheap Bluetooth device?It's perfect for my use case and for the pricetag.

-works great in my garage,... plugged into my Yamaha stereo, now i can play anything off my phone. I was surprised that i had to use the little aux cable (3.5mm Audio Cable) that came with it... i thought when i bought it that the usb was the complete unit. Luckily for my purpose, the stereo had that little aux port available next to the usb... now i see that cable that plugs into the back of the usb in a few of the product pics,... the unit did not work without that cable, so make sure you have that port within 6-8 inches of the usb port

I bought this to stream audio from my iPhone to the iPod/USB input of my Pioneer home receiver, using bluetooth in place of the lightning to USB cable normally used. I have bought other low cost bluetooth USB receivers in the past and had problems either with connectivity or with the audio dropping out every second or two. This bluetooth does connect and deliver continuous audio correctly, but there is a three to six second delay between any actions on the phone and the audio output. There is no audio delay with a direct cable, so I know it's the bluetooth receiver. The song data from the USB shows up only as a ####.mp3 instead of the usual artist/song title one would expect with bluetooth data. Also, I needed to use the stereo remote to select the "next" song of the bluetooth device to be able to hear the audio I wanted from the phone. Strangely enough, audio out of the USB port can be in mono yet be in stereo out of the 3.5 mm jack.

I wasn't sure it was going to work. I have 2012 Honda, which when I bought it would only play Apple products through the radio, AND you have them hooked up to a USB cord. I did not have an Apple device at the time, nor did I have one for the next 11 years. Last April, I got my first iPhone, but I didn't want to have to hook it up to the usb. So I bought this Bluetooth receiver - hoping that if I plugged IT into the USB port, it would work. I didn't have a lot of faith, but I should have, because it worked like a charm. My phones connects to it right away whenever I start the car. The sound quality is good. I can tuck the receiver in the storage compartment in the arm rest. All in all, very happy. Would recommend.

I bought 6 different Bluetooth receivers, b/c I want to stream Spotify wirelessly to my factory radio this one found the head unit in my car, ( 2013 Chevy Suburban, with Nav and Bose), everything I've found concerning the USB port in my car is pointing to Apple only products, I use Android, this one paired up quickly, steering wheel control works with considerable lag, some info is displayed on screen, hasn't reconnected on its own have to reinsert the dongle. I think this has some merit in that some AUX devices have to be charged up to use, this is always powered, sound cuts in and out, better then some others I've tried. I think I'll keep it, if only to have a back up means of streaming.

I rarely write reviews but I was amazed that this was able to enable Bluetooth audio on my 2011 Honda CR-Z. My aux stopped working so I tried this through the USB (no aux at all) and it was able to play my phone audio. As others have said there is a 4 second delay but not a big deal for music. The packaging also doesn't indicate the USB works for this but it does. I'll write back if it breaks but so far so good.
