So useful! No pinning down wriggly toddlers to try and pop thermometer in ears or under armpits etc, just point and press!Having a brand new baby it’s been so helpful or keeping a check on her body temps to make sure she’s not too hot/cold and can already see it’ll be a godsend when illness strikes! Highly recommend.

I generally find it best not to touch babies. Icky, messy little things. This allows me to check their temp and keep my distance. What's not to like ? This is a good price, does the job and seems accurate. I'm a GP and find no touch thermometers by far the most efficient and effective way of checking temps. Under arm thermometers take too long and kids have a tendency to wriggle and mess it up. In ears can be affected by wax and ear infections and you will constantly run out of disposable tips . No touch is the way to go. This particular model seems fine but others are just as good.

I'm really surprised about the positive reviews. I've used this thermometer twice now on my 21 month-old during two sick days he's had recently. It failed to pick up his fever on each occasion. His nursery said he had a temperature of 38 + on two separate occasions, however when i brought him home the themometer failed to pick it up when I could clearly feel that his forehead was warm. I tried it on myself and it comes up with completely different readings each time (33-34 degrees). I could feel my child's forehead and it was hot but the thermometer kept giving low readings in the green. So, luckily the fevers were mild and treated easily with calpol and rest but the thermometer is so unreliable. I'm going to have to try something else.....

Works as expected but you do need to allow a short time after turn on for it to stabilise with room temperature before taking reading. Save messing with glass thermometers is suspecting a raised temperature, good for the money.

Does the job, quite a cleaver device, it does feel cheep however, but then I suppose it is. For the money it is handy item to have. There maybe better, more sturdy versions on the market, but then you may have to pay more for them.

Too difficult to understand instructions sent back. Something as important as temperature shouldn't be that hard to fathom

Really love this thermometer. Perfect for our baby. Can take his temperature easily without any fuss as you just direct it at the forehead and done there's your reading. None of this in ears, mouth or bum which can upset them. Can also keep an eye on them whilst asleep. Recommended!
