My father in uses for reading and it has transformed his life. Unlike the cheap ones the bright light makes a huge difference and he loves that he can read newspaper columns with ease. Expensive, but worth it. Also delivered much quicker than estimated dates. The long forecast of dates can be a put off. I'm glad mine arrived within days.

Expensive but you get what you pay for, and this is a very good quality product that has come in useful many times. The yellow light filter included works best as it takes the glare off the bright LED lighty

My husband suffers from wet AMD on both eyes & recently he finds increasingly difficult to read newspaper & small prints which prescription reading glasses cannot fix. I have been purchasing products to help easing his difficulties.Good lighting and magnification are vital for this condition.Initially, bought A5 size cheap magnifying sheet but it was completely useless.There are so many magnifying glasses in the market, I wanted purchase best quality magnifing glass for him.I have searched an searched which "maker "rather than which magnifing glass to go for.I found Eschenbach is well renowned german optical instrument company & knew straight away this maker to go for .(being able to buy through Amazon is another reason)The parcel arrived within 48 hours from Germany,.Quality is superb,made in Germany. Although it's light weight, we knew instantly this is not £5 magnifying glass! It took for a while to get used to it ( you have to know the distance between glass and eye, not too close,not too far)In-built LED light was quite subtle( a lot of reviewers say it's bright....) but combination of pinpoint lighting and glass made this product superior.He cannot live without it now & so happy.Sometimes you don't get what you pay for but in this instance, you will.

Bought this for my elderly dad who has quite poor eyesight and struggled with a normal circular magnifying glass. He loves this one, says it's easier to read across a page with it. The device itself is well made and sturdy, a good quality item.

I bought this for close work and very small print. It has very good magnification, has a light on it. It is also a very well made product. I am very pleased with it.

Very nice and bright and colour of light even without the optional (enclosed) filters is quite OK. There appears to be a slight fresnel patterning on the lens which slightly reduces the sharpness of very fine detail, but the image is certainly better than their standard bulb version. The electronic constant brightness sounds a good feature but you would need a low battery to test it. Would have liked it a fraction bigger but it is as advertised.
