With three vehicles and various bikes in the household plus a boat in the marina, all of which can be prone to rust patches, we always ensure we have a can of Waxoyl to hand.It is a simple solution to use although a little messy if not sprayed directly onto its target and, being a greasy, viscous wax, it can be difficult to wipe up but very easy to transfer onto other areas once on hands or clothing - so good preparation and some care is needed. Used correctly, however, it gives good results.Over the years, we have treated everything from small rust patches on cars and bikes to a 60cm long van sill which had been rusting from the inside-out to the point where it had bubbled externally and almost rusted through in places. In the case of the latter, we thought it was probably too late and beyond repair but a liberal coating of Kurust from the same manufacturer held the rust at bay and as an extra precaution was later liberally coated with this clear Waxoyl. Three years later, there was no additional rust and no further deterioration so no need for the extensive welding job we had anticipated. Now, as a matter of routine, we treat vulnerable areas such as inside sills and vehicle doors with a spray of Waxoyl immediately on acquisition along with a spray around drain-holes on the underside of vehicles likely to draw in water, mud or lime from our local lanes. Since adopting this approach, we have never had any rust problems. It's also handy on tools and garden tools, particularly those stored in damp conditions such as damp sheds over the winter.My only caution, apart from taking care when spraying to avoid getting it on non-target areas, is if using it internally in a vehicle or enclosed space, ensure some warmth and ventilation to allow the fumes to vaporise and disperse.Definitely a recommended purchase for rust-treatment and prevention of vehicles, tools and boats - and other metal surfaces where water pools.

Well , interesting - I bought this as I didn't want my 4 year old car to start to rust !I also bought it as I didn't really want to see any rust proofer under the car.I wanted a transparent coating , clear !As I applied it , with the straw provided - it appears to be..... white !!It needed to be done , to be prepared for our salty British winter roads.But , I should have bought... black to blend in with the other black parts under the car!Edit....2 days later , in perhaps 10 to12 degrees of November temperatures.The applied wayoyl is still in the same state as I applied it !Still wet , and not cured !So , I wiped it all off - with rags and pressure washer.It says 4 to 6 hours curing time , maybe a day.But , no - its still wet two days layer.

Always my go to for underseal after years of the paint on stuff, costs more but saves so much time
