It seemed like a straight forward request from the kids:" Dad, can you get the screen on the big telly ?". Going through the over the years grown collection of cables, it was of course this one missing from the pile. So amazon to the rescue and voila, this is what, after a short search, I bought. It came well packaged, the small port covered with a plastic cap for even better protection when you don't need it. It fits snug in both ports, 2 m a perfect length and picture quality is perfect as well. Overall a great buy.

im going to give a honest and non biased opinion on this item as i did get a discount review price.Quick summery.Unfortunately i won’t have much to say on this due to it not exactly serving me well. ill give my overall thoughts and opinions on the product, packaging Splaks themselves and exactly my experiences with this product. im mainly on the disappointed side, this is mainly due to the fact i intended to use this cable for my MacBook air and to link that to the thunderbolt cable to my HDMI slot on my tv for a bigger screen for movies videos etc and power points.. the cable just simply did not work. the thunderbolt end fit in fine, as did the HDMI (although it did seem flimsy but the connection was there) the tv just would not display anything from my laptop. Please note this could simply be an error on my part maybe using the wrong wire and assuming just because of the thunderbolt port fitting it should work or maybe tweaking setting but so far i haven’t come up with a solution. everything else im completely happy with.Criticism.There isn’t much to say as even though the product isn’t working (for me) everything else is spot on from what id expect from a company. as stated in the “quick summery” section the product not working could simply be something on my part with possible settings, its been a few days haven’t managed to figure any way round this but i always give myself 2-3 days of product testing depending on the item. Other than that major flaw once again im very happy with the packaging supplied by splaks this is my second order from them and the packaging is very premium for transporting wired cables. plastic caps protecting the metal connectors, wraps around the glossy parts of the cable along with plastic wires keeping it together all packaged nicely and very presentable. gave me the impression that these are to be cared for and ensure all products are safely packaged. now although the packaging looks nice there is almost no information about the product which would come into play about my personal issues, it simply says “display port to HDMI” in several places and thats it. not much on which devices it is used for or any examples which can cause some confusionOverallim not very impressed, now with any company by default i expect amazing customer service, great care with packaging and shipment, great quality for their products.. these are all check marked so for for Splaks… but as for as this specific product and making an assumption it is faulty (possibility of the fault on my end) im very disappointed because as implied those things i listed are to be expected from any company so disregarding that aspect i am not very impressed with the outcome but id rather not be too harsh as i have made the presumption that this cable is going to work for my needs which it hasn’t so im very 50/50 on this one. but again due to Splaks very loving and welcoming customer care id find if you had any issues they would make i their priority to insure your satisfaction.

Having had a run of dodgy converter wires and boxes to get a HDMI output from my Macbook pro Late 2011 to my projector, I have finally found one that works straight from the box. I had nearly given up hope. There's no loss of signal every five minutes or failure to display the image, it just works, which is all I ever wanted. Now to see if it stands the test of time, my initial impressions of the product are fantastic, it lasted LOTR extended edition without a single fault or loss of signal. Great quality wire that I expect will last.

Used on DisplayPort in my Dell Lattitude E7450 alongside the HDMI output to output to two HDMI monitors. Take note that some laptop models with both HDMI and DisplayPort will only allow output on one at a time. You will need to check with your manufacturer...

Works as it should so very pleased about that - I have now managed to link my MacBook Pro with both the projector we use at our film club and also with my 4K Panasonic TV.The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is not a really tight connection into the MacBook - ie a little wobbly - but so far this does not seem to affect the function.

Ideal - just plugged in to my tablet and into the TV and can watch/look at everything on my tablet. Thought it would be more complicated than that. Delivered quickly, good price, good quality and works. Can't ask for more than that.

I bought this in early January to support a new 3 screen setup, but it's now stopped working (mid March). My other already owned much older cable works fine (and by playing around is why I know it's specifically this cable that has stopped working, not any of the ports or monitors). With the setup I had, this was the cable I had to plug and unplug when moving the laptop away from my desk. I estimate I have done that fewer than 100 times. Will not be ordering the same again as the replacement!
